and some I my self thought of, have any of you tryed all these and then failed if so what method worked for you? I have been trying to LD for about 5or6 months and the only LD iv'e had was induced acidentally and by anxiety. Does anyone know of a method that involves anxiety or can someone just tell me a method that works for them that wasn't listed as one of the ones I failed at?

The 'method' i try is the method of sleep, I don’t usually focus on Techniques rather the act of sleep and relaxation - all these 'methods' confuse the mind, just sleep and see what happens.......if you lucid dream you lucid dream, if you don’t you don’t.... that’s my theory. Let your unconscious mind understand the concept without bringing it into the forefront of your waking consciousness.
Try listening to some Phillip Glass music on headphones before sleep.....
I find that really helpful.

That is what someone had told me one night and I had a lucid dream that night!! Not that I am saying it is a perfect method. The person told me to just relax about all the lucidity stuff and get a good night sleep. In other words, don't stress too much over it. You may never know.

Ever try Hypnotic Suggestion? Review these threads regarding the easy and inexpensive technique of Hypnotic Suggestion:

However, if you don't feel confident with a Do It Yourself approach, every community has trained Hypno-Therapists -- they mostly work with People with Eating Disorders, or people who wish to quit tobacco, but if you explain what your requirements are, I'm sure that any experience Hypno-Therapist could help you attain Lucidity in a jiffy.
Also, discuss with your Hypno-Therapist the possibility of training you to be able to Auto-Hypnotize yourself. The use Hypnosis in order to open up a Conscious Channel to your subconscious mind. It sort of puts them out of work, and so they usually require about 5 to 10 sessions, which costs a bit of money (similar to the usual Eating Disorder, or Tobacco Quitting FULL Program)... but it will teach you everything you will ever need to know about Hypnosis. (ask me how I became such an expert).

I tried self-hypnosis myself, but I personally found it hard because honestly I was afraid of 'falling under.' I would get very close, but never had true success. I guess I should have kept more at it. If you are scared of it, Lucid_dreaming, then it might be harder for you. Though I agree-- you should definitely look into it because it has many advantages.

Actually, a great deal of Auto-Suggestion can take hold without the Subject ever 'falling under'. Many Hypno-Therapists have trouble extracting payment from their clients, because these people suppose that they really need to 'fall under', and don't suppose they are getting their money's worth if they stayed conscious the entire time. Many have to forego their payment until the client calls for a second appointment, after they've noticed progress and results from what they had assumed didn't work.
