I hadn't been to sleep for about 27 Hours, and was sitting on my couch, closed my Eyes, and after a few minutes Some pictures started coming in REALLY clear, almost like they were there in front of me in real life.I knew they weren't really there, and started to walk away from them when I Opened my eyes (or woke up, i may have fallen asleep for few minutes).

I remember looking at them thinking that they were clear, when I opened my eyes, i was kinda laughing about it.

I tried again to get the picture to come in clear agian and to no avail.

I think I may have accidently started WILD...

Im gonna try again tonight though, I been going on roughly 40 hours no sleep probably, but feel wide awake...

Are you doing this on purpose? Trying the whole "sleep deprivation" thing as a technique or do you have insomnia or is it something else?

Anyway, of course if you don't sleep you will begin to hallucinate. Your brain needs that time to sort of "reboot" and without dreams for long enough your brain would just shut down and you would die (if you don't pass out first).

Anyway...I assume that the less sleep you get the more your dreaming mind and your waking mind sort of blend and you begin to hallucinate. You were probably seeing the onset of hypnogogic hallucinations (the same that occur during WILD) but because you were experiencing REM rebound as result of lack of sleep they happened alot quicker than a typical WILD.

When I was completing my thesis project spring quarter I got to know ALL about the results of sleep deprivation. It's not a fun thing. And it didn't give me any lucids. Just weird hallucinations and dreams. I would not recommend this as a method to try to become lucid. There are alot more safer and reasonable ways.

I actually didn't mean to stay up that late... I was reading something, and by the time I decided to go to sleep, it was like 6:30 AM, so I said screw it and stayed up, because I didn't want to sleep all day.

That is a WILD, wouldn't you agree? *

I had did that i had closed my eyes, all i could see was pitch black, and saw some imagery, of me and some others boys playing football back in school, but at this time when i was playing, i didn't realise i was in a dream, i got carried away lol *:D and started playing instead.

Uhmm yeah that is a WILD you did, no one really knows why it happened, but it happened what the heck anyways, you should be gettin enough sleep though, or otherwise you will very tired and end up being ill as well, :shakehead2:

the sleep deprivation technique was meant for you to only stay up for 20-24 hrs nina, not 40, and since on a normal day i stay awake at least 13 hrs and usually round 17, its not THAT bad for you especially if you only do it once, besides, its supposed to be a last resort anyway
