I pick the skin off mine with my fingers. Sometimes I'll bite it. I used to just throw the skin away or throw it in the floor but now I'll just swallow it. It's like some sort of nervous habit to pick them, and yes sometimes they will bleed a little. "freakin lip stuff" usually makes mine worse.
