The preacher man says it's the end of time...he says that america's rivers are going dry. The interest is up, the stock market's down. You guys have to be careful walking around here this late at night...this...this is the perfect place to get jumped.
Do I think the end of the world is coming?
No. So says the preacher man but...I don't go by what he says.

Oh well, the world is 'supposed' to run out of oil reserves in like 40 years or something...and i bet that in less than a century the world will have no more beautiful natural landscapes anymore...

I think the end of the world is coming. sometime. maybe not soon but...eventually. I think...7 years of peace then 7 years of chaos? *shrugs* whatever is going to happen, however it's going to happen, it's fine with me. It is well with my soul.

If something bad is going to happen, then so be it. Humans have survived thus far, I think we'll manage at least a few more million years. Just.

it isn't the revolution that's coming
but the downhill slide
muddy photographs
detail
the mundane and the hyperbolic conjectures
what keeps you here

Under the pressure of the ever shrinking oil reservers a cleaner and more widely available energy source will be invented, or an existing one will be severly upgraded... Perhaps it will be in the controll of powerfull companies, hopefully it'll be open source... Perhaps some war will come from it, its not unlikely. Either way, man will adapt. Its not like we're destroying our world, we're not wasting any mass to outer space, whats in this world now has always been there, just in another form. We might make it difficult for ourselves to survive, but there will always be survivors. Eventually we'll colonize our solar system, and then other systems.
Unless the sun explodes anytime soon.

the end of america? it's quite possible. rising debt, falling morals, asinine politicians... you can't tell me our future is promising.
the end of the human race? eventually.
the end of the world? eventually.
