What kind of trouble? It's been having technical difficulties lately (it's been down a lot for maintenance), so I'm not sure how much help I can be.

i just thought maybe you would know what's going on, maybe it's happened to you before. i KNOW my password. everytime i try to sign in, it says "wrong password" and when i try to recover it, it won't send me my password recovery e-mail no matter what. i signed my friend up, so i know her password, so i signed in as her to see if it works and it DID. it's just giving me a hard time. i really want to get my new pictures up.. :(

it did that to me alot. wtf. i'm about to go insane.
A Lost Soul
11-03-2003, 09:18 AM
Ohh. Ok. Try this: If your cookies are enabled and your clock is correct, go into your temp folders in the Windows directory and delete all your cookies/temporary internet files. If that doesn't work, then do a find for all password list files (I'm not sure what OS you're running so I don't know the exact extension). When you find the password list files, delete them all. These things get corrupted sometimes and they are all safe to get rid of. That helped me when I couldn't log into any websites because of a stupid Kernel32.dll error.
Hope that helps. I'm tech'd out of it doesn't.
i used to have a gecko who lived for about two or three years, and i still have his dead body in my garage!
do people really think its weird that you buy crickets at the pet store? that is a very normal thing to do...
Mortalis

about my crickets I order them online in batches of 250 or 500.. He mows through about 15-20 per day and I keep them in a rubbermaid with a large wet sponge and crix food. Its alot cheaper too buying them in bulk online.

Yeah, tell us more...I love creating art, discussing it, whatever!
Some day I'd really like to put together a book of all my drawings, paintings, writing ditties, EVERYTHING! Maybe some photography, or whatever else I take a liking to until then...I'd also like to explain each piece.
I'd like to think I can make a name for myself...but that might have to happen a different way.. ..then perhaps this book idea would be more accepted.
EDIT: Maybe we should create an art thread..? I have a scanner, but I don't know if I can work it...Some of my pieces will be a little too big anyway, but I can get at least part of it.

Yeah, I know. However, I have yet to have a man be a 'pig' to me except to tell me how ugly I am. I'm pretty open, in that if I see an attractive man, I will walk up to him and tell him so. Usually, the man is flattered but has a girlfriend/boyfriend/isn't interested. Which is fine because I'm no better or worse off than I was before. But I do remember someone telling his friend he'd rather 'fuck a cow' as I walked away. He could have waited until I was out of earshot. Ahh well. His loss. I can't let every nasty comment bring me down. :) Besides, I think he had some bestiality issues that he needed to work out.
I am beautiful, no matter what they say. Words can't bring me down. Christina Aguilera(sp?) is starting to grow on me. She's a sharp girl, and she knows herself. She said in Stuff magazine that she's proud of every curve she has. Women aren't meant to be twigs. Too many women lack self-confidence and we need to stand up and be proud of who we are because we aren't anyone else.

Awww. You're a sweetie. :) I hate it, too. No one should be put down. There is something beautiful in just about everyone. And I'm not saying that just because I'm often on the receiving end of peope's "hey you're ugly"ness. It used to bother me a lot, too. It still does, but I try not to let it show anymore. I'm quickly learning that some things are just a waste of energy.

Oooooooooooooooh, I would have beaten him up so badly. That's totally unacceptable. Then again, he's probably stupid and wants to fuck some empty-headed blonde cheerleading goddess who has extensive knowledge of sexual positions but whose favorite color is clear. Some men just don't understand that personality is more important.

No, Seeker, I think you're right on target. I'm going to confide in you guys about something... I fear for my 14-year old sister... she barely eats anything. She doesn't eat meat, but she also doesn't eat veggies. She lives on plain pasta and rice. I've tried talking to her, woman-to-young woman, but anyone who has teenage children or siblings knows that trying to talk to them is equivalent to talking to a brick wall. We tend to lose whatever brain cells we have when we hit 13. Anyway, I'm afraid that what society perceives as "sexy" is affecting her self image. I mean, how can it not affect us? It's hard to grow up as a 'normal' sized girl in a soceity that worships the Maxim model. Those women are everywhere you look... we are constantly bombarded with this particular imagery and we can't help but feel that that is what we should look like, too. Personally, I struggle with that every day. I don't want my three younger sisters to have this sort of constant inner battle with their own self image. I want them to be confident, powerful women that accept and love themselves for who they are, just like all women should be.
Please don't take offense to this, gentlemen, but I also blame men to some degree. The general media is geared toward a male attitude, and thus saturated with super-thin models, which the great majority of men simply accept as what is sexy. It's not completely the fault of men, though, so please don't think I'm dumping this solely on you guys. What we see on television and in advertisements is dictated by someone else. I think if advertisors and media executives would allow a more diverse style of woman, society might begin to change and women might have an easier time of learning to accept themselves. There was a time, before that goddamned Twiggy girl, when 'normal' women (about a size 8 or 10) were considered sexy. Marilyn Monroe was a size 12! And look at her, you know? Am I making sense?
Seeker
12-17-2003, 07:41 AM
Right on Lost Soul!
When my wife and I first met, she was around a size 5! I thought that was way too thin. By the time we married, we had eaten enoug fast food so that she was a size 8. I thought she looked better. Boney doesn't work for me!
After our second child was born, she managed to make it up to 22W sizes and was shopping at Lane Bryant.
I still thought she looked great! Lane Bryant sells some sexy stuff!
We have both lost a lot of weight in the last year. She is back to around 130, and I am around the 200 mark.
Both of us are considered overweight by todays standards. She keeps talking about taking off a few more and I would like to drop at least another 15.
My 15 year old daughter has finally begug to put some weight on. She was having problems filling out size 1 jeans! She never ate!
But, luckily, she now fills out a 5 and eats all the time.
Good luck with your sisters!
You are right about the male oriented society. Lesbianism is generally accepted by society now because males tend to get turned on by it. (your art work is highly erotic in this respect :) ). But look at the flipside, Gays and the transgendered are still being suppressed and tormented. The old double standard.
I think my son gets it, he doesn't really seem to be fixated on what society tells him he should want. I hope he follows my example and finds a girlfriend that is nice and will be nice to him.
My daughter though, I give her serious grief because she is looking for the 6-pack abs sort of guy.
I can only look at my spare tire and sigh. But, I know I have them because I work out heavily! Unfortunatly they are covered by my middle age spread.
I am so disgusted with society in general that doesn't accept people for who they are!
oh well, *rant off*
su-chan
12-17-2003, 10:18 AM
Yep, I think LS pretty much covered it.
It also doesn't help that 90% of the females cavorting around seem so much more beautiful and thin than we are. I personally hate going shopping with one of my female friends because she looks great in almost everything, though she's not really 'skinny' (she's a 7). But for one with humongous childbearing hips that can fit an 11, that's kind of a self-esteem dent. ^^; She wears skirts a lot, though, because her legs are thicker than mine somehow (it's really weird, how that works). But when I go shopping with her and she can find all these totally awesome clothes and everything looks crappy on me, it's kind of a downer.
Lots of men (or should I say boys? They obviously haven't grown up) seem to want a superficial, silicone-and-peroxide blonde goddess that fits a size 1 and has 36DD breasts. If you ask me, that's disgusting and unhealthy and the girl needs to squeeze some of that fat out of her boobs and into the rest of her body. Society's just imposed this standard that they have for women, making 'gorgeous' skinny women ubiquitous in the media; famous women are pressured to lose weight too! God forbid they should be who they are and look like average women, right? Oy. Marilyn Monroe, as mentioned, was a size twelve and at her biggest a fourteen, and that was back in the days when sizes were actually cut BIGGER; she was considered an absolutely gorgeous woman.
What fun is a woman who doesn't eat when you take her out on a date, anyway? (One of my male friends pointed this out, God bless the boy. Not all men suck. <3)

Ok the men are dogs thing has been kinda amusing to me lately
And I have been wanting to tell somone hehe.
My new room mate IS a dog...
He chases anything with legs, he HAS a girlfriend, that treats him like a king but he cheats on her consantly.
He Eats untill he cannot eat anymore and is close to pukin, he said this this evening, he east untill he is stuffed so much so that he dosent get tempted to buy any food at the cafeteria.
He is the loudest drinker sounsd like he is lapping up the water, slurping it too... I duno how he does it.. its not that difficult you open your mouth and tilt the glass back and you dont have to make any damned noises!
He sniffs the air like a dog too!!
No friking joke you can hear him sniffing the air from across the room when he catches the smell of something...
He aint that bright either...
*shakes his head*
But you women... you aint all that perfect either =P like I said he has the personality of a dog. Yet he always has his little hoochie mammas at his heels. So its not just guys that want some flaky retard.
Its all about the sex its all they do they dont need to have brains or personality. And thats what the media wants and likes so thats what you get flaky retards on TV.

I think Serinanth hit the nail on the head with that one. :) I hate it when I see beautiful, NICE girls I know going out with those 'i'm so tough', ugly slobs. :(
I think that anywhere you go, you will probably see a few people from either gender that like a bit of ugly or flaky retardedness. :| I suppose we'll just have to put up with it. 'Sigh'

I am glad that you're treated well. I think some believe that there is an air of depth about these 'assholes', like they are only like that in public, but we all know that that's rarely true. But that's only my opinion. :D
I suppose we have to remember that everyone is beautiful in their own way. :?

You need Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark to play the mod we're working on. Which isn't a bad thing, being that both of those campaigns are very cool.
I'm in a NWN guild (Cyber Sisters) that has taken it upon itself to create an expansion to HotU. It's funny... we started out as a group of ten or so drooling fangirls who liked the character Valen (one of the henchies you get in HotU). We wanted to see more of him, so we began to brainstorm a small module revolving around him and the female PC. Since then, we've grown to about 48 members, all working on this campaign, which has also grown considerably--to span three chapters so far! Working with them has been very exciting and inspiring, and I'm very happy to be a part of the project. I wish I could tell you guys all about the storyline we've been working on... but I can't. Not yet. It's a secret until the campaign goes live. I promise that you guys will all be the first to know about it though. :)

I tried the demo of NWN but I didn't like it. I thought it was to much control-another-person instead of being-another-person which I prefer my RPG:s to be. Like Morrowind much better.
