View Full Version : If you're happy and you know it -- post here!

What is happiness? Ah but who cares -- it feels great, and that's all that matters, as far as the abstract feeling itself -- there is some concern in how you might attain it, but that brings me to my next question, anyway --

What makes you happy? Does it take very much at all to make you happy?

Quite frankly, I was in the mood for one of those cutesy chain mail things with baby animals, baby humans, or some clean religious humor and morality message -- but I realize that those things probably wouldn't incite the same kind of happy reaction that I got in everyone, so I decided to leave this thread text-only (at the moment, anyway) and let everyone speak up about what makes them happy, so the thread and the post can be totally enjoyable for everyone who clicks on in.

What's made you happy recently? Why's it made you happy? Just think about it for a moment, even share if you like, to perhaps inspire others.

Lots of things make me happy. Finding something that I've been looking everywhere for for a long time makes me happy. Listening to J-Pop makes me super-happy -- and also sometimes hyper, horny, or any combination of the two; which both make me happy. ^-^ Seeing people get along makes me happy. Talking with my parents on the phone, or seeing them for a weekend makes me happy. Playing with my doggy makes me happy.

Seeing a lot of replies to this thread would make me really happy. ^o^ Yeah, that was the cream of the corn, but meh, it's cool; and it is true. -^-^-

My quote of the week: "I'd blame it on senility, but I'm only twenty years old!"

Thank you Miss Buttercups-and-Rainbows.

Careful, or I'll make sure that that nickname sticks!

Now please excuse me whilst I go hurl on my own shoes.

I guess not. ^^;

You know, if you do, you could save those and use 'em next Halloween. There's some real originality in using genuine vomit.

I'm actually surprised I made it through all that without my own shoe decorations.
But.......since your happiness depends on it;
A great book
An equally great piece of music
A well thought out argument / intelligent debate
A job well done
A great booty

Not the most original choices but they're honest ones. I'm easy to please.

Yay, nice topic, it makes me happy to talk about what makes people happy! ^_^ Wee.

Go hippy, rainbow puppies cuddle treehugger fluffy sheep topics. Yeh.

Seeing other people happy makes me very happy to begin with...I just love seeing genuine smiles on people's faces..children, adults, seniors..anybody. :D

Being silly and random makes me happy..as does getting the giggles, being tickled, dancing, listening to music and singing (when not too many people are around =P)

Taking (long) walks makes me happy too. It doesn't matter how the weather fares, it all has its charms. Big sunshine just makes me smile and want to skip along the path (and I do.. :-P ) and rainstorms make me want to face the rain head on and get soaked. Its funny how when its pouring down you see people making funny faces and getting bummed out when they get wet, and I seem to be the only one enjoying it 8)

Birds make me happy, especially singing birds, more so singing birds in large amounts. In the morning too. Yes, lots of people get annoyed by their songs..but I love them. ^_^"

Playing computer games does too, or writing does..
Working out and getting sweaty does.. (yes I mean both ways you could interpret this hehe)
Playing the flute (*glares*)
Shop for other people (like presents and stuff)
Shop for myself sometimes too..
Cooking! I love to cook.
A Lost Soul
Seeing/learning new things/places
Meditating/just clearing my mind and do nothing
Forests
Fresh croissant with strawberry jelly

Well..and lots of things more..I'm pretty easy to please too..lots of things make me happy

:-P

Well, there are many things that make me feel a bit better, but may make me happy as well:
Playing VGs, especially Fire Emblem
LDing, & anything related to it (OBEs..., DSing, etc)
Calling myself names
Talking w/Friends
Being on here, & on the computer all together (I like pretty much anything on the computer, including Flash, Dreamweaver, creating VGs, Powerpoint, this website, etc)
If I am doing something hard, & never give up!
Strict Routine (it can include work, school, etc)
Being able to guess an event to come/Card Concentration/Lottery Bingo w/o getting pressured (like from that weirdo)
Going to the mall/movies/fast food place/skiing/swimming
Drawing
Watching TV
Going on Vacation
Parties
Holidays (unless they are on Sunday, b/c Sundays are boring)
Saturdays
Hiding from everyone a week from tomorrow (predators love to pounce that day, so I usually stay hidden)
Going to my church

Sorry, but I have a pretty big list!

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

John contradicted himself. In "I am the Walrus," he claims over and over that he is the walrus. But later, in "Glass Onion," he claims that "... the walrus was Paul." No more credibility for John.

I swear, Nes-chan, talking to you begins to resemble a Spongebob Squarepants episode more and more everyday. :sweat1:

NO AVOIDANCE. No getting rid of stuff. It's either do it the right way, do it the right way, or do it the right way -- OK? Now take "forced" out from between those parentheses and FOR THE LOVE OF FREAKING GOD, DON'T PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN THERE BETWEEN THE COMMA AND "DSing"!!!

Consider this free therapy, which is a pretty damn good deal if you ask me, considering what most therapists charge.

I may have told you that awhile ago...but I'm no expert and don't claim to be. No sense in bringing it up now.
