I`ve been lurking sometime through this site but didn`t find nothing for this question......

Does the emotional state affects the dream recall?

What am i trying to ask is if someone is in a bad mood or emotionally broken
can have negative effect on it`s dream recall?
Or the opposite case.If someone is in good mood will have better dream recall or?

Well of course I am only speaking from personal experience, but, yes.

As anything involving our brains and bodies, physical states and emotions mean a lot. Even with something as complicated as dreams, your emotional state effects the dream. Logically we can draw the conclusion that recall has to do with the dream itself, and indirectly also the emotional states.

I find that when I am in a more concentrated, uplifted state of mind, my dreams are a lot easier to remember. I would imagine I am not the only one with this disposition.

If I am particularly wrong in this region, correct me, but, I think that sums it up on my half.

most definitely. it doesn't just affect dream recall, though, it affects everything about your dreaming...actually, i think your emotional state affects your mind completely awake or asleep. whenever i'm stressed or in some kind of bad mood i tend to only remember a general theme that all of my dreams seem to revolve around. when i'm feeling happy/normal i can remember a lot more specific details, and all of my dreams are totally different.

Yes, it certianly does. In my experience, if I have been depressed about throughout the day, I don't have very good dream recall at all. Just the other day, I wasn't feeling so great about some things and I couldn't remember anything I dreampt about the next day! Of course this has happened numerous times. If I am having a great day, my dream recall skyrockets and I can remember up to five dreams I have had in just one night. Keeping a positive attitude really helps if you want to remember your dreams.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here!

Anyway i think i found(with your help)the reasonfor my lost dream recall some period of time. When i started to keep my dream journal i had recall for 2-3 dreams for a single night(don`t know if it is good for a beginner) but under the effect of a bad emotional state and sleeping only 4 hours a day i lost my dream recall for 2 weeks.Starting from yesterday i am getting the recall back again!
I hope i will get advance...
