Nice.
Although, I do question the validity of this test.
It is, after all, online.

I would also question the validity of that one. I just make my 9-year-old-brother take it. According to the test, he has an IQ of 156. Which is wrong, because he still puts his clothes on the wrong way round. :D

Ya... well it says it usually gets within 5 points of a real test... and I want it to be true :D :D
Oh, and I sometimes do that too Kaniaz....
I act and am pretty stupid most of the time but I'm still smart...

According to these test results, my IQ is 147. I can assure you that, throughout the extensive course of my life thus far, I have sucessfully managed to put on a peice of clothing the right way. Not once have I failed yet.
And of course they say it gets within 5 points. If I created a shampoo product I'm not going to say:
"THIS ULTRA-COOL SHAMPOO PRODUCT GIVES YOU DANDRUFF!"
I'm going to say:
"THIS ULTRA-COOL SHAMPOO PRODUCT GETS RID OF DANDRUFF, CLEANS YOUR HAIR, AND LEAVES YOU FEELING READY TO TAKE ON THE WORLD blah blah blah blah blah."
And did I ever tell you my little 9-year-old brother cannot spell "Project"?

About the your brother not being able to spell project... IQ isn't just like how smart you are and stuff... it's how you analyze problems and come out with quick solutions and stuff... blahblah

Peaple in the real world should be more concerned about common sense than there IQ. It is more probable that you will have to use your common sense (if you have any) than have to figure If billybob is going to get to the station first going 1.5 mph with a head wind and his sister, driving a porshe at 185mph but crashed but could still crawl would get there first. :P

I think they should come up with a subconcious IQ test -Sub Q test
Anyone know of our belong to Mensa?
A mensa mind pack is very chellenging.

I think it would be billybob

it's not suggesting that those situations will happen, it's seeing how your mind breaks down the problem. it can be used in real life very easily. if you can make a quick decision that has many variables you may be able to make more money for you or your employer... in the long run helping you more than knowing to put a drain plug back into the oil pan before dropping 5 quarts of oil into your car. :?
both smarts are good, neither are useless.

I took the test and got this:
There was a problem connecting to the database: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11)
I want the last 10 minutes of my life back!

I used that test. First try was 140, second try months later was 129. I had changed some of the stuff they ask at the end, like have you finished high school. The first time, still in school. Second time, finished college.

It would be funny if someone came in and got a score of 70, and said: "Hey at least I passed!!!"
I knew someone once who was so dumb we were always teasing him, saying he would say that...
i got 112 and just clicked randomly down the line ha

I haven't seen anyone below 100 so far....(although people on this board seem smarter than average so...)

The thing with IQ tests is your age.
If you are aged, say, 3, and you take this test, and guess at every single one, for each you get right, it will boost your score up much more than it would if you had got it right if you were aged 13.
Truthbearer
03-19-2004, 11:01 AM
Yeah, they are all based on age(at least the good ones that require that you state it beforehand)
I remember I had the formula they they use to figure out IQs, and obviously you can't expect a 10 year old to have the abilities of perhaps a 20 year old. Besides IQ determines where you stand on the average of your age, so many times if you have an IQ of 130 or such, it means you have the average IQ of someone 2 or 3 years older than you, for example.
I'll see if I can find it in my computer, hope it survived like 5 disc formattings....
