I THINK MY DREAM SIGN IS DARKNESS!!!!!!!!

so far all (and i mean all) my dreams have had darkness as a main role and light, but light is not in all of my dreams. I don't know if its the stuggle between light and dark that i am constantly dreaming of (and i mean constantly) or maybe im worried about which side i believe i am on. I firmly believe that i am a good person (or atleast better than most) and i am on the side of light, assuming that it is the side of good, but my dreams sometiimes beg to differ. Most of my dreams show me siding towards good, but those dont seem as realistic as the ones which i side with evil even when they are not lucid.

For instance i had a dream that i was a jedi in star wars and i was killing droids, but it was so unrealistic that i could tell it was a dream (this was before i knew about lucid dreaming) , and it didnt stick in my mind. But i had another dream that i was darth vader, and i could remember everything, how i blew up cities and killed all the jedi, the weird things are that i knew it was wrong but i didnt care, it was like i had tasted evil and i liked it, and when i woke up i felt tingelly, the same feeling i had in my dream, the feeling of power and happiness. i know that i shouldnt be saying that evil felt good, but i think that in this dream the power tempted me and i chose it without any regrets, but i hate the dark but im not neccessarily afraid of it, and i remember my dreams about the dark well.

But i also once had i dream that this bat monster grabbed my by the neck and i exploded with light and defeated him in one punch. i know there that i beat the darkness, but it was after that when i started remembering my dreams, then all the other ones happenned. i know that the bat monster symbloises my evil, it has appeared in many of my dreams and i believe if i beat him next time i see him then these feelings of evil will go away.

Any ideas about this topic, i really need help......

Hi, nice to know you, the real pieman :)
Got a little thought about your dream. I have a nephew that always play or act as a great great bad guy though I know he's a good boy. As I've noticed, he seems to like to watch sci fi/action movies that the bad guy character is a cool good looking person (face, clothing, equipment, power) and always more greater than the good guy.
Do you like those kind of movies too? If yes, maybe there's a chance it will affect your dreaming mind to position yourself into that character or their side?

thats a very good point, i do like those sort of films and games, and i agree 100% with your theory, but why do i feel that its good to be evil in these dreams or when i am me in my dreams and im watching a fight between good and evil, its like half of me wants the evil to win and the other half wants the good, but i do care about the outcome even though i want both sides to win and both sides to lose, i am starting to think that my dream sign is conflict, because in all my dreams there is always a conflict, even last night where i was in a war between my half of our year and the other half even though in real life i wouldnt ever join the army or hurt other people. i dont like war films or those with guns that much, but i think you might be right about the films part, now in my dreams if i see anything to do with films, or darkness, or conflict, i will recognise them and become lucid.

in my dreams i am evil and good, and i have amazing recall even when i didnt care as much as i do now about dreams, but i have never in my entire life had a
N IGHTMARE, although i am afraid of may things, like the dark or heights (but not as much).

i know that this is a bit off the topic but i could really use advice from others, because if i know more about myself and my dreams, i can get to a lucid stage faster, by being more knowledgable about the subject.

I started having dreams like this between the ages of 10 and 15, and it scared me at first! Finally I realized it wasn't the "evil" I really liked, it was the power I had over others in my dreams, and the control, which I didn't have in real life, but wanted at the time. This can be used in a positive way in lucid dreaming, you can try having 'power' and do good deeds by fighting the evil, like you did with the bat thing and the light. This will come more easy to you as you progress. Then appy the techniques you are using for gettng confidence in your dreams to your waking life.

In your dreams you know what is evil and what is not, you acknowledged the bad things hurt others - which is a good sign. It's when you can't tell the difference- then you have to worry!

The only true good people out there are those who aren't afraid to confront, explore, understand, and at times BE darkness. One of my friends is into dark things, like dark humor and a generally evil outlook on morality, but he happens to also have incredible strength of character and he's probably the most morally objective person I know.

Personally I find myself having a blast when I'm wandering the streets of New York chopping off heads and strangling policemen with their own severed limbs or dreaming a monster movie from the perspective of the monster. I found it to be disturbing at first but believing myself to be essentially good I got over it and learned to let myself have fun with darkness. I think there's a lot to be learned from evil. I also think that one can only be truly righteous if he understands evil as well as he understands good. I think you'll find that being immersed in evil can give you a surprisingly clear view of what exactly is good.

I would be more worried if you never had dark dreams. That would mean either you're afraid of darkness or you're trying to turn a blind eye to it, both of which lead to a subjective idea of righteousness and ultimately devalue your idea of right and wrong. Embrace the darkness along with the light and accept them both as being part of the human heart, and you'll find that things like fear, insecurity, and doubt become less and less familiar to you.

that is true, afterall darkness is half of every thing,as is light, both are eternal, and both are equal.

i just made that up of things that i have heard in the new game kingdom hearts 2.

But its true....its not just a saying.

Thats a very interesting philosophy. I tend to see darkness as peaceful. It was a big theme in the book I wrote.

i am currently in the process of writing a book about dream i had where a person shall fight his darkness/ inner demons and lose...

I can not reveal anymore information due to security reasons...

i will post again when i finish the book, and once more if it gets published.

anyway what is your dream sign...I think mine is darkness because my dreams invovle alot of violence and good versus evil fights, only yesterday i had a dream i was being chased by an evil clown...

yesterday i had a lucid dream, and guess what triggered it, freddy krueger, and who is more dark and evil than that...I beat him by changing into the clown from stephen kings it...

anyway about my dream sign i have no idea what it is, my dreams appear to have no connection other than the places usually resemble places i have been to or familiar to me... and that doesnt always happen...is it possible that, that's my dream sign?
