What is it about part 7 that everyone likes??? Even most of the people in this forum prefer FFVII. I'm not gonna deny it was awesome... but IMHO the best was FFVI.

No offence to anyone who likes the game, but there are WAY to many final fantasy games. I heard a lot of them have nothing remotely to do with each other and they just use the name over and over because it sells easier.

I think a lot of them are pretty old though so I doubt they are still good. Which ones on pc that isn't like outdated but still old enough to be really cheap? If theres one like that, thats good I might try heh

The games basically have no consistency or relevane to each other at all except for common names and the title. However, it is the same teams, same concepts of gaming (RPG style, each game having its own uniqueness).
The title (however contradictory it may seem to others who havn't played it, Final Fantasy.. being a series.. final.. yes), let's others know that the teams are the same (relatively) just like any other series of media. So Final Fantasy is like the Rocky of video games.
I like Final Fantasy, I want to play FFVI for the fifth time right now.. lol. FF6 and FF8 (screw roman numerals) are my favorite. I want FF11.. but I do not think I have the time to spare to play it right now..
Hm.. I've been drinking.. am I ranting? I think I have. Good night.

Nah he's talking about FFX-2 as in Final Fantasy X - Second Part. It's been out for a while now. And you don't want anything to do with it.
Hey anyone got Tactics? THAT was good.

As in probably incompatible because Australia usually is one of the last to be able to do the online thing.

Arent ya talking about the FF MMO??
you should be able to connect to the servers, regardless of where you are? Maybee get a high ping but thats not that important for an MMO.

Ping is pretty important for online games in general. FFXI and other games don't run good on modems. You'll want a low ping to not get annoyed.

I don't think that FFXI is available here in Australia, but I guess you could buy it off ebgames.com or e-bay...
P.S. FFX-2 is really cool in my opinion. :P
and I may sound like an idiot but, what the heck is Ping?!?

Ping is your bandwidth.

How fast your computer can communicate with server. The lower the better.

Ebay... where I got my old copies, I liked 3 alot, 7 was great too, I liked 10 as well, I havent played it yet, but I heard 10.2 was actually really good, they couldent contain the story in one game so they made it into two, just a bit larger epic thats all...Though they are putting in too many of the snazzy cgi movies, granted they are cool as hell... but let me play the game!
It dosent matter that none of them correlate directly to another, they are the tale of ages, when things become forgotten and then time repeats itself butslightly different, there are the same basic tennants to each one.
11 the online RPG was ok... nice graphics, good gameplay, but it lacked friends... all it was was powerlevlers, no one roleplayed, also the world wasnt that large and thats why I got bored with it and left. I also got addicted to Eve-Online which is quite different, its an online space rpg.
