Happy 4th of July to all us Americans :D I hope everyone has and awsome time today with friends and family.

we saw a fireworks show last night that ended up being kind of a dud (there was some rain), but the party itself was a blast

tonight we're gonna do the traditional bbq at my folk's and get blasted

Gotta love a holiday all about boozin' it up, blowin' shit up, and celebrating the guerilla rebellion of self-rule dissenters against an oppressive foreign regime from whose socio-political philosophy we have completely freed ourselves.... oh, wait... :wink:

On a completely non-sarcastic note, the family's getting together for our "traditional" BBQ lunch with frozen margeritas and homemade banana pecan ice cream) in a few hours and we'll hopefully be going down by the river to watch the huge city fireworks display this evening. That's always a fantastic show - those huge burst fireworks fill up the sky until it looks like the starry embers will fall right down on your picnic blanket. :)

Happy 4th to all my U.S. DreamViews peeps. I served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield in the Navy on a carrier (USS Ranger cv-61) back in the days, heheh. :D

We have family coming over and we're going to watch the downtown Houston show which is usually pretty decent as long as rain doesnt hose it up!

What can I say? I had to work on the 5th. So I just moved my holiday forward a day.
