Watching memories

I have an idea, but not sure if it would work. Since you can access your subconsious in a dream, lets say you were watching a tv. Since you can access your subconcious, lets say you changed channels on the tv to display memories stored. Has anybody done this before or anyone experienced that would like to try this? It interests me.
