I have some External Hard Drive problems.

First of all, the drive we're talking about here is a Maxtor OneTouch External 200GB HDD, connected through Firewire. It worked perfectly fine. I just pulled out the plug of the power, took the hard drive upstairs, and forgot the power plug. So I went downstairs again, but there were SO many adapters .. So I didn't know which one it was. So I tried multiple ones. But none of them makes it turn on >__> And I'm sure these are all I have.
It doesn't make some kind of weird beep going "OMG BROKEN" or something, and it hasn't fallen or been shaken (not really). The drive looks like this:

The difference is that mine also has firewire support.
Anyways, usually when you turn it on, the OneTouch button (see front) shines a nice blue light. Not anymore when I turn it on. Could be the power unit, could be the drive.. That's what I'm asking you :P

The power unit is supposed to look like this:

I can't seem to find it and I'm nearly 100% sure I've been using another power unit, but it worked just fine until I plugged it out.

Any ideas would be appreciated. What's up? What should I do?

on the back of the disk, there should be some writing next to the AC socket
this will tell you all the info you need
voltage, current & polarity

just find the adaptor that matches

hard disks are normally 12V, 1.5a
polarity shouldn't be a problem for modern electronics, but check just in case

Have you hit it against a hard surface yet? Because I heard that helps.

Fuck you all. It's probably fried. I'm just going to call Maxtor and go "LOLZ HI. IT JUST BROKE DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE. I WASN'T DRUNK WHEN I PLUGGED IN THE WRONG ADAPTERS THAT PROBABLY HAD TOO HIGH OF A VOLTAGE!".

Yes, I'm going to say that. In full caps. And spell it.
