In case you don't know what it is here's a link: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36064
This technique worked so well for me last night. I've been in a dry spell for so long and then I just used this Tech and remembered 3 dreams and three fragments of dreams, one of which was a highly vivid, possibly lucid dream!

True. It may be the first thing that pops into your head, but after an hour, it certainly isn't still there.

Yeah you could keep trying, but I wouldn't try for long because then you'll probably lose your recall as if you really gave up.

No prob. Yes you do keep a DJ, you go through the day normally, but you just don't do anything when your about to sleep.

IMO the technique is based around charging and discharging energy (in this case the desire to have a lucid dream). So if you have a lot of energy and you let it discharge by using the technique you have great chances of having a LD. At the same time if you have no energy to discharge this technique wont help you.
As to how long you should try it - I'd say 1-3 days is enough if you have no success you are either doing it incorrectly (as in thinking about lucid dreaming or actually expecting and planning to have a lucid dream) or you have no "energy" stored.
As for how long the technique will work for you - I dont know, but it gets progressively more difficult. For example I may maintain the "not thinking" state of mind for a couple days but then I give in to expectations and ruin my chances. This may help - when you think about lucid dreaming during the "noninduction" phase you know that you have ruined the technique. My tendency is to try to "fake" the technique, but it never works. So if you messed up the technique just give up and try something else.
PS: I'm glad that the technique is working for other people as well :D
