View Full Version : Photobucket Question

They've added the option in Photobucket to upload and share videos. So I uploaded one and posted in a reply post to test it out. The link worked and played the video fine, however I found that anyone who played the video had access to view the rest of the contents of my photobucket album.
Does anyone know if there's a way to upload the video and share it without people being able to search through the rest of my stuff?
probably best to use a different file dumping site
there's loads around
http://www.gameroom.com/
http://www.putfile.com/
http://www.sitesled.com/
http://zed.cbc.ca/
http://s3.yousendit.com/
http://www.powow.com/

Which one would you recommend as being the best (and user-friendly)?
no idea
I don't use file upload sites as a rule
sorry
either that, or 2 photobucket accounts (they're free, right?)
1 private
1 public

haha, nothing in particular I guess.
I just thought it would limit someone to that page and that's it. Not a huge deal but I figured I'd ask.

I don't know if this is your problem but once you've logged into your photobucket account, click account options (Top right corner of the screen after where it says "Welcome, yourname". Under account options, under the second section "Album Options" there is a setting called "Make public? Yes, No, optional password" check to see if that is set to no. I don't know how uploading a video would have affected this but it's worth a look.

OMG, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! :bravo:
I just posted a video (http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=37144&view=findpost&p=350819) to test it out. The album is private now.
Thanks so much, Leixor!! :D

I'd recommend putfile for videos.
If you are just talkin about images, I'd go for imageshack (google for it).
If you need webspace and nothing is working out for you.. I can give you some webspace on my domain probably (it's on a webhosting dedicated PC which has only 10ish users, so the speed is excellent).

Thanks but I already have a Photobucket account, and now that I can upload videos, and share them without people having access to my other stuff, I'm all set. :)

Yeah I didn't read the last couple of posts, I just saw you got what you needed. Good luck.
