I downloaded a lot of different tracks with some music or sounds or just rain fall from Laberg, Monroe Institute and others and recorded on my PocketPC. I listened to different once for about 2 month, none of them work. Some of them 1.5h long, other last all night in repeat. I found some of then destructive, other good to fall asleep but I wake up because of headphones in my ears. Does anybody have any experience and can share. Does it really help or you think it is better just not to use any assistance like that?

Thanks

Its too bad we are not further along with research into audio aids.

Phonelai seems to have best success, check out his threads.

I like some of the Monroe Institute products, but I found their lucid dreaming series didn't work for me.

One challenge is the headphones - should we use earcovering or earbuds. For those who LD regularly from audiotracks - what type of headphone do you use?

Second challenge is volume level. I did experiment for 2 weeks adjusting volume levels. Seems like there is a fine line between too loud and too quiet.

Third area is when to play sounds. Many recommend combining with WBTB to maybe 6 hours sleep, 1 hour wake, then play sound as going to sleep.

Fourth challenge is what to play. Experiments with your own voice vs. other voice. Commands "you recognize you are dreaming" vs. questions "are you dreaming?". Use of music and other background sounds.

I do occasional experiments on weekends, but found that MILD plus WBTB is still more effective for me so far.

yeah, I find that this does not work for me becuase either
A) the head phones end up hurting my ears or
B) the audio wakes me up just as I doze, especially when theres voice in the track.

I did however, have a dream that I was listening to one of these tracks but in the dream I turned my mp3 player off to hear what was going on. I never put 2 and 2 together. I am going to keep trying but I am working on other methods at the moment.
