and emo just confuses me

it seems a complete contradiction to what it started out being

This whole thread is a huge point of sarcasm. I am acting exactly like what an emo acts like. To put it simply:

Emo=emotional, it is not just held down to music geners. Emo can stand for anyone who tends to whyne or act depressed, mellowdramatic, pesamistic, or sadistic.

All i know is that emos dress woth black clothsing and paint there nails black n sh*t they look like afi now lol and there anyways complaing about how much they hate life... and they cut there wrists to prove it?

Emo's that just dress the way aren't half bad. The people that complain about lief and everything are just downright annoying.

look......

traditional punk rock songs dealt with the non-conformance to set social standards
and the isolation and anger rising from that non-conformance

emo (as it was originally was, anyway) was punk rock music that expanded out from this traditional mold to incorporate other feelings and emotions (including happy stuff)

it seems to have retracted back, to just....well, punk rock
