Hey, just an update on me, I'm still here, still writing in my dream journal, doing reality checks, reading info on lucid dreaming but no luck yet. Working on discovering my dreamsigns and I think I've found one---having someone in my dreams that I can't see but I know they are there and even know who it is. I guess the best way to describe it is "feeling a presence." This dreamsign doesn't appear in every dream though. Anyway, just letting you all know I'm working at it and enjoying reading all the posts from all the characters here at Dreamviews ;)

Hey octoberchild :) Glad you're enjoying the forum.

As other people will say, just keep at it and you're bound to have an experience sooner or later. For some people, it's a short amount of time, and it takes longer for others. Keep on keepin' on. ;)

Have you tried any actual induction techniques at all? MILD (http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2047) and WBTB (http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6147) are good ones to start with.

I have tried MILD once or twice. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, I thought I would try WBTB, since I will be off for a few days and won't have to worry about getting up to get ready for work, or worry that I'm getting enough sleep for work, etc... just will have more down time, you know...thanks for the suggestions, Burns, and enjoy the Holiday---eat lots of turkey, (unless you are a vegetarian), , if that's the case - pig out on the sweet potatoes!

I would recommend an autosuggestion involving technique like HILD (see the tutorials thing), as it may be able to line up your subconscious with your goals, and if it works you can expect an LD (even if you wake up immediately) within the next few days. This has generally worked for me the few times I've tried it. Also I am wondering if when you RC, are you doing them thoroughly and carefully, or are you just going through the motions..."I'm not dreaming". If that is the case, check the link in my siggy, It has some good information on properly RCing. Anyways, Turkey Time! Happy Thanksgiving.

I found your link to quality reality checks the other day and printed them out, yes, that could be the problem, I'm not doing serious enough RC's. I'll also give the HILD technique a try, too.
I'm sure that whenever I do have a LD, you and the rest of the Dreamview members will know it 'cause you'll be able to hear me I'll be shouting so LOUD. Thanks for the suggestions,
