I just started taking a 4:1 extract of Camu Camu Berry. I started taking it because the berry is the most concentrated source of natural Vitamin C on the planet and I wanted to boost my immune system for the winter. Each capsule contains 133% RDA of Vitamin C. I take only one in the morning and one before bed. I wasn't expecting this but there has been without a doubt an extreme increase in my dream frequency, duration, vividness, and probability of me becoming lucid. My friend tried it and had the same results. I have tried lots of supposed dream herbs like Calea, Voacanga, etc. and had some slight benefits, but nothing like this. All the dreams I've had the past few nights has put me in the best mood I've ever been in. I was lucid in a dream the longest I ever have been last night, I was really surprised even while in the dream that I was not waking up, I even sat there for a few minutes just wondering how it was possible I hadn't woken up yet. It might just be that I was really deficient in Vitamin C or something but maybe this will work for other people. Anyone else ever taken this berry?
:muffin:

EDIT - The link I had before with info about the berry is not working anymore, but wikipedia has a bunch of info about the berry.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camu_camu
So far the cheapest I have bought the berry was from vitacost.com , let me know if someone sees it for less $$.

One glass of the orange juice I drink contains 100% of my daily recommended intake of Vitamin C.... So I'll just stick to orange juice.

I will try this. It could be the anthocyanins in it, although I don't see why they would aid us in LDing. It maybe a good idea to have an off cycle or it will likely stop working.

It wont work unless your squeezing the oranges yourself. Certain things like the pesticides used on the oranges, the preservatives put into the orange juice, and the unnatural sugars added for flavor, as well as the depulped chemical severely limit how much of the Vitamin C you can actually absorb and use to its full effectiveness. This is true for anything you buy in nearly any store now a days. For example, i've eaten nothing but fruits, fruit juices, and drank nothing but lemon water for a little over a month now to get rid of my acne, and its worked wonders. I've also found that mysteriously my body functions perfectly fine without protien. I'm not malnurished in the least bit, and i'm as healthy as i've ever been according to a saliva PH test i took as well. Dont trust anything store bought or brand name. Just my advice.

Its been about a week since I started taking the Camu and so far the effects are just as prominent. I just also noticed I am unintentionally sleeping about 45 minutes less than I was before I started taking the berry. For whatever reason my dreams contain more preminitions in them then they ever have. During this week I have had 3 dreams where something in them happened the next day. Like Faat said I may need to take a break at some point, I will post again if the effects seem to taper off.

Oh really.... What if it says no sugar added, and I'm not sure what you mean by the de-pulped chemical. If you mean orange juice without pulp, I normally drink it with.

I really wish I could squeeze my own orange juice.... I just can't afford that many oranges, for just the purpose of squeezing. And are you eating regular fruits, or organic? Because if they're just regular, then wouldn't they be full of pesticides as well? Organic fruits are rather expensive, and I just can't afford things like that.... I'm trying to convince my parents to buy healthier foods, I have for months now, but they're content with the manufactured crap we eat now....

I did some research and I found that since most of the real Vitamin C in fruit juice is oxidized during the pasteurization process most companies replace it with synthetic abscorbic acid. Check on the back of your juice to see if abscorbic acid is an ingredient. The body cannot use abscorbic acid as Vitamin c, but the FDA allows companies to call abscorbic acid Vitamin C. Apparently true Vitamin C is abscorbic acid bonded to several other componenets. Some synthetic supplements now contain something called Ester-C, which supposedly contains the other components that makes abscorbic acid usable by the body. I will still be sticking with the berry though, it is not any more expensive and plus it has antioxidants and other nutrients.

I've been trying the berries for the last few days. I got dreams that were a bit clearer and easier to remember. Last night I doubled the dose to 4 capsules at night and got the same result.

I don't think the vitamin C has much effect. I've been taking heaps of vitamin C (Ester-C). 1100mg in the morning and 1100mg at night.

Ya, I tried taking a large dose without any noticable benefit. The only other thing I've tried that induced dreams as much as this berry was datura, but I started to wake up and still see clear hallucinations for several minutes. It didn't bother me at first but the hallucinations became longer and stranger, once I started waking up to pythons, spiders, worms, flying insects, etc. I stopped taking the datura. I've tried wild lettuce, vocanga root, damiana, calea, lemon grass, the list goes on and on. You can read about one of my experiences with Calea at erowid. http://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=38378 It just tastes so bad I don't think it is worth it. WBTB method is still the most guarenteed way for me to have an LD, but the berry undoubtedly helps me.
