After someones first (DILD) lucid dream do they happen more frequently or is all just random?

They will occur more frequently if you keep up your motivation (and work). Sometimes it's just random, but usually it's about how motivated and confident you are. I used to have one lucid dream a month (accidently)? Now I've already had like 2 - 3, and the second week isn't even over yet! It's because I didn't drop my motivation. So once you have it, you won't lose it, that is, if you believe. :)

Dice put it very well, I've been lucid dreaming for almost a year, and I've had a few times where I just stopped trying, and it made getting back into it very hard for me. That's what's happening to me right now : (, but if you keep at it, it's rather easy.
