Oh, this post has given me such levels of inexpressable joy! And while I was amused of a Kiwi's immitation of an Englishman, I have to wonder... what the crap was that at the end? :P

And the mic came with my computer that my grandpa gave with me. Yeah grandpas :D (I'll record it soon.)

EDIT: Here it is.... For some reason I sound so different than I think I sound... And sometimes when I'm reading I have a tendency to mix together some of the consonants, but that also may be from all the consonants I get from Russian.

Yeah, the english impression was rather junk.

And the end bit was a "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaate!". It's an Aussie thing. I'm kiwi I know, but my Aussie friend does it all the time and it;'s sort of caught on.

Oh, yeah, and so far my favourites: Alex. Alex, you sound so sexy. And Amé - you sound way different than I sort of thought you would - nice though, as far as (mostly icky) American accents go!

Urgh. So, I recorded myself with my phone, but it only records .3g2 videos. Windows and Mac users can play it with QuickTime, but sound might give you troubles, which would be a bit of a problem, since it's kind of the point of this thread.

Anyway, we'll give it a try anyway. If you've got troubles, I'll look for a way to convert it.

By no means am I in any danger of being labelled as "in poverty," at all, but the accent of these people rubs off on anybody who goes to school with them for a long time.

Thanks, NeAvO---I think you did a great job imitating an American accent----as a matter of fact---it sounds a lot like some of the folks here in South Carolina---had a "southern twang" to it!!! :)

Stick with your British accent though---it's sexy---and plus the the British accent makes a fanastic singing voice-(Beatles, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Oasis, The Who, Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones, Yes)........ well, those are a few of my favorite British bands...........

You know, even though I have made my life in the south now, and my husband and children are from here, I have not forgotten my northern roots and I am as proud of them as my family is of their southern ones.
They say the sweetest sound to a person is their name, and whenever I hear my name "Debbie" pronounced in a northern accent (esp. in a Pittsburgh area accent), I say "Now, that's the way my name is supposed to be pronounced!!!!"

To be honest I haven't known too many Canadians. Not enough to really pick up on the differences. The one I was really good friends with in college was from Montreal--and he had a completely different accent altogether. :P

I hate you atarix :( No actually way cool :D I was still groggy and unfocussed from my deep slumber and I watched this. boy was I caught off guard o_Õ I'll try to record myself, but my Camera-phone saves movies in a very strange format (3GP) that I can't seem to convert into a windows-viewable format, not even with some programs that claim that they can (I'm not gunna pay money for some lousy converter), let alone an uploadable format. Can anyone help me out with that?

I have a "3pg converter" on my computer. I never knew what a 3pg was... (I usually just use it to convert avi's to ipod format)

Doesnt work... Looks like you didn't expert the file correctly. Its only 7.5k should be a lot bigger for a video file.

I dont know how else to do it. I just did it from save files.com. someone else did it like that on here and it worked

What did you use to record the video? What was the file name? Example myvideo.MPEG

You should have uploaded this file to that location. Not sure how it could have gone wrong. What did you use to record it?

Oh also I bought a new webcam so I can re-do this with that so should be better quality and no lag from my voice to the video :)

I just recorded it on webcam. Saved it. Then uploaded in on savefiles.com. then posted the link to it on here.
