Hi everyone hope everyones ok i have been away for a while because i have had this really dry spell, which with a little luck and good relaxation techniques the DREAMS are back!!!

A dry spell can be a lucid dreamers worst nightmare especially a beginner as it can be very frustrating, time consuming and depressing. There are alot of good techniques on this forum for getting out of a dry spell, i used good relaxation techniques and i also tried dream foods such as milk, cheese, yogurt and fish.

The last proper lucid dream before the dry spell was back in december near the beginning of the month with no sign of a return until yesturday i took a nap after watching a bit of early morning telly and bang i was lucid....... But i awoke straight away i am not sad by this because i know i have to let my body get used to coping with the sudden rush of excitement when realising i was dreaming.

Thanks for hearing my ramble about DRY~SPELLS but i think i needed to get it out of my head before i exploded i guess im just happy to be back!!!!

Thx Sostyles

yeah my dry spell is just over a month now. irritating as hell. i read all this stuff by Stephen LaBerge about having 27 lucids in 30 days or whatever (26, whatever it is) and it makes me want to vomit. kinda like, are there "real" people that do that? i mean, we're all trying really hard, but rarely can any of "us" do that.... other than those naturally blessed with that ability. hope i don't sound like i'm whining, it's just frustrating sometimes.

I had a thought maybe if you dreamed about a dry spell you inner self may give you clues as to end your dry spell or even how to avoid dry spells all together!

Thanks for all your reply's its good to be back in the LUCID!! LOL

Yep, dry spells are kind of like taking alcohol away from an alcoholic, drugs from a drug addict, or even taking away all beauty in the world. :(

Welcome back!

welcome back to the lucid side of things :bigteeth:

im ending my dry spell as well, slowly but surely. I had extreme insomnia for a month, days with zero sleep. Other nights with dreams only lasting minutes. I focused my attention on just dreaming! And to be honest, right now I am just happy to have any dream that feels 'long' rather than just a fleeting moment before I wake up again. My dreams all week have been decently long enough, at least they are finally feeling stable again. :content:

Me too, I feel your pain. :(

I actually forgot about the whole idea of dreaming for the longest time...

Today feels like the day though. >_>
