I think people believe in reincarnation because they don't want to believe that death is the end.

I'm one of those crazy Christians, so I don't believe death is the end, but people who don't believe in Heaven and Hell, imo, have the need to believe in something after death. Death can't just be the end, or else life would be so pointless.

I'd like to think that there is more to life...

Actually, I'm agnostic. I would never be a christian, although I respect all other religions. I do not believe in reincarnation because I feel I need something to believe in....I believe in it, because I truly feel a connection bettween myself and the universe that makes true 'death' prove impossible, in my mind. I may not believe in God as other's do, but I do believe in a higher alertness, a higher "being", if you will. A spirit-like being that connects us all. I am only 16, so if I seem crazy, I'm sorry, but I just cant see how re-incarnation could not be. I mean, where does energy go, if it can be neither created nor destroyed? It has to recycle it's self or something. Like, awareness. How can awareness be truly destroyed? I could, however, be wrong, but I really feel strongly about the subject.

we are but scientists in a glass box.....trying to figure out why we are in it, wat its made of........we question ourselves to answer things that are truly at the heart of life.........the whole time these little scientists lived theyre lives they didnt see through the glass box.....they died and all of a sudden the glass box turned black..they couldnt see back in and truly wanted to get bak in to experience that feeling....to not know the answers...to live life with an honour in acceptance

we are truly evolving to know the secrets of space...but never is the question going to be spelt out....it doesnt exist in my view

catchya fellas ;)

Reincarnation, in my eyes, is a very intresting and fasanting topic to discuss.

My personal beliefs are that you are not reincarnated. There is no higher being, and there is no god. However, people believe otherwise and I respect that.

Theory A
Reincarnation is something we'll probably never understand: perhaps if you are reincarnated, you'd be made in such a way as to not remember your previous reincarnation. Perhaps the Earth has a set limit on how many people can live on it- like 5 billion or something (I don't know the Earth's Population). It can't get any higher than that because there's not enough "souls", there's only 5 billion of them.

Of course, the Earth dosen't always have 5 billion people (it dosen't work that somebody dies and in their place somebody is born). It can vary, but never go past 5 billion. It might work like this:

SPIRITUAL GATEWAY --> ASTRAL REALM --> ALL ASTRAL STUFF
| / |
| /---------- |
EARTH THE SOUL TOME

Once you've died on Earth, you go right up, no matter wether you were good or bad, to the "Spiritual Gateway". There, you lose all physical body and you are given rock solid proof that reincarnation is real. You are shown your past lives. Suddenly, the memories of all these past lives comes back to you. You are then given a choice. Go back to Earth; forget all your memories until you die and come back to the Spiritual Gateway again and you are given the memories of all your past lives again, and once again presented with the choice.

Once you get tired of living on Earth; you can choose to live in the Astral Realm. However, this decision is a permenant one and you cannot reverse it - otherwise it would cause problems with the maximum amount of population the Earth can have (and it's only fair to give "other people" a go on Earth).

Once you leave, you would expect only 4 billion and 999 thousand and 999 hundred people to the maximum the planet can hold, as your soul has decided to go live in the Astral Realm for the rest of eternity. However, the SOUL TOME, part of the Astral Realm, would then create a new brand spanking soul, and send it to Earth, where it would then go through the process.

As you may of observed, there is a direct connection between the Astral Realm and Earth. If people miss a soul so much, or think about it alot, your soul/astral body/whatever will be "pulled" almost down to Earth, thus creating ghosts. The direct link between the Astral Realm and Earth is too "hazy", so you still can't come back. However people in the Astral Realm are free to watch the folk on Earth. Only those who are missed or have some special reason to be there (i.e: they were killed and did not receive justice), can actually appear on Earth or mess with it. They still can never come back. .

[b]Theory B
This is probably the more "traditional" and *SIMPLE* theory.

Live --> Die -->
^ |
<-----------------

(I couldn't be bothered to make a circle).

Genreally, what happens here is you simply die, forget all that happened to you, and then come back to life again.

Theory C
Life --> Die --> Life --> Die -->
^ |<--- ALTERNATE --> ^ |
<--------------- <--------------

Same cycle as before, but there's alternative universes/worlds/whatever doing the same thing as we are. There are no communication between them.

So there you have it, a few theories.

good theories Kaniaz!! ;)

one thing we need to know is that earth couldbe but a picoscopic piece of the places to choose for birth....dunno but maybe

I do not acknowledge the existence of life after death, even in the form of reincarnation. Energy doesn`t need to recycle itself, it can disperse. If your referring to the laws of physics, I assume you were talking about how matter can be neither created nor destroyed. Hope that helped. Whether you are 16 or 60, I'm sure you are mature enough to still hold and defend your own views. Age is irrelevant to an extent on a forum.

Desiring heaven, fearing hell, trying to reincarnate as a higher being.
None of these things should affect the way you live your life.

Live your life to the fullest extent you are able.

Find joy in every experience, even those that are unpleasent or painful.

Experience loss, dissappointment and pain to its fullest, even in those activities that bring you pleasure.

Be kind and help other's without any thought of reward or punishment in the next life.

Be graceful and thankful to those that help you.

An existance such as this is a true human existance.

Let your actions here and now be your own reward and punishment.

Do you think that the population in the world stays the same? No. If, say the world ended in 4037, k? Then where would all those souls go? Of course aliens...

But, dispite sientists could fuck up that whole opion, I believe in it.

I don't believe we have a soul who exists forever, or exists because we shall be reincarnated, but I do believe that it's possible that the same consciousness can be generated from the nature again, in a other human or animal.
My thought about each consciousness, is that it is a atom code. So the consciousness is a physical code, and the same code could accidental be generated again.
If that happens, it is the same consciousness who live a new live.

This theory may sound strange, but it is a lot we don't know.

Any viewpoints on this theory?
