Thank god for eBay.
I bought the best Palm Pilot I could find (Tungsten C) off of ebay for just $212, excellent price considering it's about $500 in retail stores, it's enteriely new as well. I'm waiting for it to get delivered now, and apparently it should be here in a couple of days. I had been considering getting a kind of portable computer, but laptops were too expensive and bulky for my liking, so I decided to get a Palm Pilot (I didn't like the look of Pocket PC's).
Anyway, here's some pictures of it...

Case
I'm buying this seperately from the Palm Pilot, it's a leather Chairman case (Tan + Black). I wanted a black one but they're double the price of these ones, so I decided to get this one instead.

Do any of you own Palm Pilots (or Pocket PC's)?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll never lose this because it cost me 2 years worth of savings. If I do, then I'll throttle everybody I find saying they stole it. :P

I am ignorant in the uses of a palm pilot. What are the advantages?
Play? work? - both.
How often do use it?
Is it worth the price?
How many question can I ask in one Post?

Play + Work, yes.
You can use it when you want I guess, it has 8 hours of battery life (varies).

I did own one; a Toshiba e740 Pocket PC. I believe it was the one they dropped in their lines of production due to problems associated with the wireless card. It worked great, although I still prefer a good ole powerful laptop rather than a paltry palm. I sold it about a year later (for much the same price), again, on ebay (on which I bought for about 3/5 the price in stores). We got DSL installed and a wireless network about a month later. That kind of sucked...
Yeah, had drugwars as well...
Biggest hate: batteries. Jesus, I hate counting minutes or worrying about turning down the screen brightness.

i owned a palm m130 2 years ago, was very trusty and good for so many uses, i found a free version of sim city classic(was in b/w but you can buy coloured versions and also sim city 2000) and used to play all the time, was always searching net for new cool things to put on it, so many sites have freeware you can get.
anyway i used it for about a year before selling it on again for a few hundy before it got too old.
i loved it! i miss sim city on palm oh and OMG you have to get dijobaan bebops, its like 'the sims' for palm only its little cartoon people and they have to do all these tasks and stuff to get fit and smart and play games and socialise.
was so cool
but theres also sensible things to use them for like e-books and the internet and word-like programs on which you can do work then transfer it to microsoft word.

Bluetooth sucks.

"Yes."
"ERROR FINDING DEVICE".

lol, the only cool thing about bluetooth is controlling other input devices on the same channel...
I used to have a Palm IIIc that I always used for vnc and stuff for a long long time. It broke, and now I'm thinking of getting a iPaq with a pc card slot. I want to put a Orinoco Gold card in there wired up to some chili cans :P .

bluetooth rocks.. whats your problem.
First of all, it does not compete with wifi, it coincides with it. Bluetooth is meant for small devices.. wifi is not.. wifi eats a ton of power, bluetooth does not. Bluetooth is VERY secure, wifi well, i can drive down a street and use people's networks if i wanted too.
Plus your not gonna find a wifi cellphone.. i use my palm with my cell and have web anywhere..
THAT IS WHY YOU CAN'T DISS BLUETOOTH FOR NO REASON.
I recently started to use it even on linux, and its performed wonderfully, if you are saying its buggy and has tons of errors its because you don't know how to use it.
I've even used my cellphone to control winamp via bluetooth!
