This one is a pretty good description of myself. Although I don't like to admit it, I'm pretty domesticated compared to many of the kids in my school. My mom is way over protected and paranoid when it comes to placing any amount of trust into society and therefore does her base to shudder me away from it as much as she can and as much as my dad allows. I'm really only bound physically, not being allowed to go out with a lot of my friends a lot of the time, but now I'm getting off topic..

Now looking over these, I see what you're saying about the ambiguity of them. With a few exceptions, I can see how most if not all people could relate to these qualities in some way or another. A few of them in particular I found really pertained to myself, but I guess most people could pick out a few for themselves.

You'd be suprised how deep astrology can go. It's very accurate, if you look past most of those cheap websites.

You might find "Soul Numerology" a very intersting read.

I'm a Cancer too, and I gave always thought I got along good with the other water signs--Pisces as friends, and Scorpios as lovers. But I ended up with a Saggitarius, completely unsuited to my sensitive nature. Go figure; it's almost like the Zodiac isn't for real.

Anyone interested in this stuff should read "The Secret Language of Birthdays". That book is just amazing. It goes by thousands of people that were born on the same day as you to come up with a composite.

Yeah, well I've even thought that when I looked at my "description." There are a couple things that you find "really true" about yourselves (which can easily cause you to ignore the ones that aren't true).

I just find the whole idea of everybody born during X time is like this silly. Everyone takes it for granted who believes in it, but what causes them to be like that? Maybe its my ignorance in the subject, but I don't think there is any "force" that makes them the way it says they should be. Even like, a "god."

Millions of forces injcluding environmental, cultural, societal (is that a word), and other forces such as your parents, people around you, etc. cause you to develop your characteristics. Diet, genetics, etc. results in your body type. All this has nothing to do with when you were born...

Astrology's just one of many ways human beings have attempted to categorize and understand each other -- why people can be so different in temperament, ability, and drive. Just like attempts to understand through other metaphysical systems, such as Chinese astrology, aura colors, ayurvedic prakrutis, etc.

About as many people I've met have "fit" their sun sign as didn't. Astrology can conveniently explain away a lot of the seeming discrepancies by the placement of the other celestial bodies in the houses and how they interact. The intricacies are quite interesting, but I'm sure it's the same in other systems.

Astrology's fun to play with but not true in any scientific sense. Ultimately it won't give you any real self-knowledge, so it's best not to get too distracted with it or any other ready-made system that lumps the entirety of your being -- or anyone else's -- into a neat little package.

But...it is fun to see the reaction of some people when you tell them you're Scorpio lol
