Edit: there was a gang affiliated shooting at the high school where i live. One dumb-azz kid (Mexican by the way) decided he was in a gang, apparently announced it to loud at a party. I've been a legal immigrant ever since I moved here, 8 years ago. I've been in Permanent Resident status for about 4 years, paid taxes through all those years, and I can't vote. I don't have a voice. Just thought I'd mention, because I do think it's pretty shitty, but whatever, it's my choice to live here anyway, so I'm just abiding by the rules. As soon as I'm able to, I'll apply for dual citizenship and then I'll at least feel a little more dignified...

The ones that don't pay income tax are the ones that are here illegally and don't have any documents, so they work for cash, but those are usually the ones that just got here. They still pay sales tax whenever they buy something. Also, since they're illegal, they won't be using any of your retirement fund.

Those that have fake documents to work, pay income tax just like anyone else. The from you and them is, they're illegal, so they won't be able to apply for any retirement from the government. The way I see it, they're actually boasting your retirement fund. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Every person in America should have to speak English! I think everyone agrees with that at least. If i seem aggressive im just tired of seeing things like non-English speaking people getting drivers licensees and shiot like that. And them being able to get on welfare. Most illegal immigrants DO pay taxes. Many of them even pay income tax. The IRS says they don't care if they're legal or not, if they're working legally or not. All they care about is collecting their taxes.

Besides, much of the West was Mexican land originally, anyway. We stole it from them during the Mexican-American War, just like we stole the entire rest of the bloody continent from the natives.

I read that and seem really off. Just a bunch of multiplying and estimates to get a number that sounds outrageous, without considering key aspects.

Wow, good job on that site. Out of the 16,000+ deaths caused by drunk driving every year, you managed to show 16 illegal immigrants that caused drunk driving fatalities. Those fatalities aren't something you can blame on illegal immigration in general though. Blame it on the judges and cops that didn't enforce either the drunk-driving laws or the immigration laws, once the illegal immigrants were caught doing something like drunk-driving.

They're not illegal because they think it's cool. They would become legal if it was possible, but like I previously said, the laws make it virtually impossible! Do you even know how the process works to receive a Green Card (permanent residency) in this country, or are you just talking out of your ass?

Illegals lower the wages of all those jobs you would usually find them at. If we created a program that would start giving homeless people jobs at minimum wage, we could improve the lives of many people. Illegals come across the border, bringing their low standards of living here. In schools, nearly every Mexican speaks spanish and English and acts "gangster" and rarely turns in any work. Trust me, I know.

Doing a google search on how to become a us citizen and posting one of the links here tells me nothing. Besides, I didn't ask you about the process to become a U.S. citizen, I asked you about the process to become a permanent resident (receive a Green Card). The former is actually really easy... just wait 5 years after you get a Green Card, then take the exam. The problem is getting the permanent residency status, and that's why I asked you if you knew about the process.

Basically, there's only a few ways you can be here legally:
1. Find an American person, fall in love with each other, marry. After 2 years, you get a Green Card.
2. Through a direct family member that is an U.S. citizen.
3. Get sponsored by a company to come here and work for them. The company has to pay the huge fees (thousands of dollars) to get the process started. Then the company has to explain why only you (and no other American) can do the job that you're being sponsored for. In short, this will never happen to an illegal immigrant, only to people who are one-of-a-kind on their field of work.
4. Get refugee status.

So you see, other than getting married to an American, how are the illegal immigrants supposed to become legal? They can't. They're not illegal because they want to piss off the government or to steal your tax money. Like I said before, they almost always pay taxes, but get no benefits from the government. They remain illegal because there's no way for them to become legal.

Interesting choice of words... except the Soviets during the Cold War were more worried about keeping people in Eastern Europe from leaving rather than foreigners coming in.
