Yeah...so...I just wanted to say that brush fires suck.
First, we had a huge brush fire from Georgia (that was so big that you could see the smoke from space) waft down here and blot us out with smoke, but then we had fires start in 3 different cities that border my town. Hundreds of acres have been burning and it's so bad that the smoke has been permeating all of my section of central Florida (Which is a very big area, if you don't know) for the last week or so.
Doesn't matter where you are, if you are in between Daytona and, at least, Altamonte, if you step outside, all you see and smell is smoke. Really...it's been pretty bad around here, lately. We are waiting for this tropical storm that is off the coast to bring us some rain but, even though it is the first tropical storm of the season (which started 3 weeks before the storm season) it's now showing that it's not expected to bring us very much rain.
...Ironic...yeah.....but definitely not in a good way. We need some water down here. Bad.

You're on a peninsula, how much more water do you need!?
Ha, kidding, but let's hope that the storm does bring a good amount of rain.

And no lightning.

Yeah O. Im in Jacksonville it is really smokey here. You can smell it in the air and it looks like a carpet it covering the skies.

And how about that punk-ass storm? It's just breaking apart, offshore, and sending us winds, which are fanning the fires and making them bigger. We aren't even going to get enough rain to put a dent in these fires.
Right now, according to Local6, there are 220+ wildfires burning in Florida.

Yeah, HereWeGo, I heard it was really bad in Jacksonville. I may actually be coming up that way, this weekend, to visit a friend, but I'm not sure yet.

Those fires are really wreaking havoc down there. Hopefully those storms stop breaking up and bring you guys some rain.

let it all burn to hell
Yeah, that's some hardcore trolling right there! Why don't we just stomp on what other people find important? It's ok, you're safe hiding behind a computer screen, tucked away at home. You can get away with whatever you want! Maybe you should stop and think that thousands of people are losing their homes, and millions of dollars in damage is being done. You're not the only one who has contempt for things in life. Just because things aren't going well for you at the moment (as seems apparent from your "boohoo, life sucks, pay attention to me" signature) doesn't mean you should go around trying to make other people feel like shit. I'm sorry that your short-comings are making you fail to see the big picture. This is not something to be taken light heartedly, and you are a jerk - Internet or not - for saying this.

-[Edit: docKnubis's posts have been deleted for being blatantly inflammatory. The caption in Muvhael's post is enough.
Well...that...and I don't want that attention-whoring excuse for a Sig defacing my thread. :chuckle:]
Carry on.
Nasa's view of last year's Florida fires - thought this was interesting:

Cool pic, pj. :goodjob2:
I'd seen one, earlier, of this year's fires, and it showed the one in south Georgia, which was huge. I can't seem to find it now, though.

We have a huge Nor'Easter hitting tomorrow. Flood watch and heavy downpours expected. Now, I do love the thrill of being stuck in an insane rainstorm, but you need the water more. Wanna trade?
Lol.

[Edit: Reports are saying that authorities believe most of the fires were set by arsonists.]
