From what I've heard, there are a number of 'Lucid Foods'. I've decided to list them, then people can send me their 'Lucid Foods' and if people agree I will add it to this list:
DARK Chocolate - The darker the better
Cheese
V8 Juice
Garlic
Bananas

Hmm, cheese? Cool, I can't really have bananas sadly (my throat swells up and it gets all hurty) and garlic? Didnt know that one. Dark Chocolate is a given, its Known to produce SILDs (Sexually Induced Lucid Dreaming).

is this really proven to work, or is it just something you're making up? Where did you get this information?

These are mostly from other threads, but I have tried them all (EXCEPT GARLIC) but in the other threads they seem backed up. I was planning to expand this list and put reasons on there, but I wanted first to know if people think it's a good idea.

Your list reads like my "bedtime snack" ha!
I try to have a little of each an hour or two before bed each night.
2-3 pcs. dark (really dark) chocolate
2-3 slices of cheddar
1 can of V8 (with tons of hot sauce & worchestire & pepper)
a banana
250-500mg B6 (1 or 2 - 250mg's)
maybe twice a week 12-15mg melatonin. (4 or 5 - 3mg's)
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Like for example, the last 3 or 4 nights I haven't had shit for recall. No journal entries at all. Onliest good thing is waiting for the "rebound" that's bound to happen. Maybe tonight.

Are you kidding me? Wouldn't that, like make your brain die or somthing? 15mg of melatonin?

i've tried cheese.. but never dark chocolate. i love dark chocolate.. but dark chocolate inducing SILD's? hm. perhaps i will try said experiment..
Good Topic! :)
However instead of listing "Dark Chocolat" I would List Cacao. Pure Cacao powder or Chocolat with high Cacao content would do most of their "work" due to Theobromine, Caffeïne, L-Phenylalanine and Osrtogen being in the Cacao plant.
Allthough cheese is often said to work I myself have no such experience. I tried this by eating a couple of slices of cheese just before bedtime. youing cheese and aged cheese both without significant results. Is there actually ANYONE who has had successfull experience with Cheese and dreaming or is this just a rumour?
-Mugwort, the Dreamherb, is also often used to cook with. I myself haven't had any positive results with Mugwort when smoked or drank in teas.
-The DRIED Amanita Muscaria Mushroom, AKA Fly Agaric, is said to generate very vivid Dreams. This Mushroom is Hallucinogenic however often times the psychedelic experience "misfires" and just gives you a clear relaxation and mad, vivid ndreams instead. I once made it into a tasty soup and allthough it didn't at all create a psychedelic experience I was minorly relaxed, clearminded and had wild dreams.
Another thing: Has anyone ever tried drinking quite an amazing amount of Cola before bedtime? and with an amazing amount I mean well over 7 glasses of cola. I wonder what will happen since the flavouring/stimulant substance used for Cola is Colanut: A stimulant plant. It helps concentration.

I think its something to do with the functionality of the forum, only being able to edit some of your posts, i'm not entirely sure, ask in the meta forum, they will help you out.

For dark chocolate, wouldn't it keep you awake? I have tons of those tiny Hershey dark chocolates lying around (reason being is I'm not that into dark chocolate).
Also, I don't know but I eat bananas every night before bed and have been having more dreams.

XD This is good! I drink fruit V8, like 8 gallons of it, every day around the clock.
I heard popcorn is good too...don't remember where, but I just have it stuck in my head.
Bananas, huh. *runs to kitchen to eat*

That one really worked. I had one peice when I woke up, and went back to bed. Little ashamed of myself though since I am trying to do more things in my dreams than just sex.

Like xristosx I've heard that popcorn is a LF (lucid food) but I've also heard that pickles and lettuce as well as milk or almost any dairy product. I read this in LD4all.

Remember if you want to drink/eat something for lucid dreaming, do not drink it a lot, you will build up a natural resistance to it. (Not sure but read it in the CILD topic) Also to add to it, i cant believe nobody has said this one: Chocolate Milk. It might be plaecebo, but I really doubt it. My dream recall has gone up 400% (2-3 dreams a night, from 5 short dreams a week). and dream vividness 500% (10 second craps to 30 minute gods). I buy Quick (the chocolate powder with the bunny) and fill it up about 1/3 of the cup. Note: I have a really bad stomach ate for about 5 minutes after.

I knew that drying the amanita muscaria mushroom is possible to eat.
I read a book about it some weeks ago, but not the whole, just the chapter of eating it :P.
There where no recepies for some reason, so how much do you think will be a good piece to the afternoon coffee?
it shouldn't be eaten fresh as i remember, there's some subject in it chaning to some other, right? i think it was ibotian acid (or something like that) to muskimol.
and btw, is it true that you get immune to the amanita muscaria fast? i heard about a guy that could eat massive amounts of it now, cuz he have eaten it very often.
