Please take my poll to show how embarassing you think your parents are (if you are 12-17 or how embarassing your parents were (if 18+) or if they still are :D

Please tell about your most embarassing experiences that your parents put you through! Should be fun to read all these posts :D

In your opinion are parents generally embarassing to most people in their teenage years !!! and does this change over time?

I used to be very embarassed of my parents when I was younger. I didn't want to be seen with them and always wanted to be dropped off for school around the corner but they always drove me right to the school entrance door and picked me up the same way everyday. Later on when I got the school bus in later years they drove me to the bus daily and waited for me to get on. They liked to wave at my friends and sometimes say something too them too! My Dad liked to swop letters of words around so that could be embarassing with school friends and in resturants when we were in cafes he would always ask for a buttered crumpet as a cuttered brumpet and as he said it fast always sounded like he was asking for a cuttered bumpit - Agggh the Embarassment especially if the waitress was a cute girl T_T

Between 12 - 14 they used to take me to get clothes at the cheapest store but it had no changing rooms back then as it was a very cheap knock offs store. I had to try on the clothes in the store as all the peeps walked past as I tried to hide in the racks of clothes. They always used to shout out that looks good in the loudest of voices and hold up the most terrible yellow and black spotted wooly jumpers that they thought were the epitomy of cool fashion!!!

I'm not at all embarrased by my mum and dad. I'm 16 and my mum buys me £10 worth of larger that I can take out with me on friday nights every week. And as for your getting dropped off at school problem, my dad drives a 3 litre Lexus so that doesn't really bother me too much:p. My parents treat me like an adult (except when it comes to school and my career) and they have since I was probably about 8. I was never grounded or really punished because my parents would always prefer to sit down with me and talk it through when I've done something wrong. 75% of the time I wouldn't change anything about my parents they're probably the best parents I know anyway.

My parents aren't too bad, just once in a blue moon.

Oh, but one time, when I was coming home from school on the bus my dad was outside planting flowers. He had to bend over, you know, and his whole crack was hanging out. He basically mooned my whole bus! And I was the only person who got off at my stop, so everyone knew it was my dad.

My mum drives a drop-top sports car
not embarrassing in itself, but I do wonder if I look like a toy-boy whenever I'm in her car
