Hey guys, Im really interested about Lucid dreaming and i want to do it myself. The only problem is that Im scared from all the stories i hear about sleep paralysis.
Some people says its scary, and other people do sleep paralysis like its a normal routine.
Does anyone have any advice how I can overcome this fear?
Thanks

ok when you hit sleep paralysis take a deep breath, maybe keep your eyes shut (i do sometimes) and DONT PANIC!!!
alot of time s when i hit SP i just start wiggling my body till i woke up. So just keep calm recity that "I a am dreaming this is a dream" and try and rollout of your bed. Allways keep that mantra so you dont forget.
Good Luck "generic smiley face"

I think that the first thing to realize is that while SP may be very scary for some, for others (like me) it is not. You won't necessarily have terrifying hallucinations or anything. Realizing that may help you not to have frightening SP. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that what one expects to happen happens (at least in dreams). So maybe it is similar with SP.
Advice that I hear often from experienced WILDers who have scary SP, is that you can get through it if you remind yourself that it is only your mind, and it can't hurt you, and you won't get stuck paralyzed. They also seem rather unanimous on the fact that after you do it a few times, what at first is scary becomes at worst bearable, and at best exciting.
So, I would say: Take heart, and give it a shot. If it turns out to be too scary for you, you can always stick to other methods (such as DILD and MILD). But if you don't give it a shot you'll never know what you are passing up.
