Okay I haven't had a serious attempt at WILD yet since I don't have a clue on how to stay aware. I was inspired for this Topic by Nefarious' topic WILD subtechnique.

I was wondering: of all those that can WILD what technique/practise do you use to stay aware? I know the crude basics of the WILD technique but I wanna know from people's personal experience what they use to maintain awareness. Do you focus your attention on something? If yes on what and how exactly. Do you do any other things? be specific and share with us what it is you use to maintain awareness whilst falling asleep.

I understand that, with the new forum software, it is impossible to edit your first, topic starting post so I will compose the list in my second post.

Well like I said in my post I concentrate on a point in my face near my eyes, wich means to feel only this point and completley ignore the rest of the body. Its just enough to keep me aware and I actually see vivid images while doing so cause the point is near my eyes.

If i just look at the darkness in my eyes its not good enough to clear my mind cause its like Im expecting to see something. But this way it just appears when I think about nothing at all and expect nothing.

Go into your USER CP and check your subscirptions do any of them have a checkmark in the instant box? This will usually send you a email whenever someone replies in a thread. And also check your other settings cause there should be one that says to send a email notification of replies or something like that make sure it is off.

My recommendation is reverse blinking to the trance state. Then, after feeling you're relaxed enough, close your eyes and try to produce HI. I've never tried this one, but try twitching your arms. It's said to induce full SP. Concentrate on your breathing until the HI forms. Then, try to make the HI 3-D, but don't lose yourself in it. It works well, but it can be frustrating in some cases.
