Movies and books are great, right? Well, if you had to pick both a movie and a book to be your favorite, what would they be?

My favorite book would have to be Stargirl by Jerri Spinelli or A Fine and Private Place by Peter S Beagle

My favorite movie would have to be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

I thought that this would give people a chance ( especially readers) to try a new movie or book. I know I am always looking for more books to read....

My sentiments exactly.

Movies are a great form if you just feel like vegging out. But books, your imagination has to create the whole seen for you, which cannot be topped in a movie. (No one ever says the movie is better than the book)
favorite book - Intensity, Dan Koontz
favorite movie- Good Will Hunting

Which reminds me I am about to order Fight Club, the novel by Chuck Palahuik. They say its better than the movie, and if that's true then I can't wait!!!!

When I get it I will let you know which one's best...

Favorite movie? Dune, the David Lynch version, without a doubt.

As for a favorite book? I've read so many.... One that pops in my head is the Voyage of the Dawn Threader, by CS Lewis. I never get tired of reading it, no matter how old I get. :)

A good place to get free ebook Classics is a site called PDF Planet. Google search it and you'll get to the site. For other newer books, I usually just download them off of my Macintosh version of Kazaa( called Poisoned) as one would download music. You'd be surprised at what you'd find

When I first read it in high school I had finished half the book in like a day. Then I slowed down because, as dumb as it might seem, I didn't want to read more because I didn't want it to be over...

I guess I am very much alike to Holden...

P.S. I just logged in and saw his avatar. I have to hand it to him, he really did OWN me with it, there is no denying it. I found it to be pretty funny, actually, at least in the context it is in. Anyways, he has to take it down soon...
