here in Brazil, cursive is the main way of writing we learn
few are the ones who chose block letters

I almost always write in cursive. You don't want to see mine, though. It gives a whole new depth to the term chicken scratch. I can write (semi-) neatly but it's not my standard format.

My handwriting is hideous, its all down to the bad handwriting skills taught to me back in primary school, i tried ever so hard to win the handwriting competition but i always lost, i actually cried when i was young because i lost it. I was young though, competition is nothing to me now, i will probably post it though just so i can prove how bad i am.

ok, now realizing how shitty my webcam is. It does add on to my bad handwriting. Anyway , for those who can't read it , it says :
"Thought I would share my handwriting too. It's not the greatest but it shall do. By the way sorry for the bad lighting."
In the whole context that's the style of my handwriting.

Horsebucket, you have to realize that the internet causes great challenges to sarcasm and the likes due to the fact that they are normally signified by voice inflection, which is absent on the net.

Neat idea. I'd pay, even if no one used the font. I have terrible printing, handwriting, cursive, etc.
Though, I would love to get some font software of my own and start making my own fonts.
Maybe you should submit some fonts to dafont.com or something. Then you can start submitting to something where you'll get paid. It's just a suggestion...

Okay... I want to test if I can do this. I would charge 10 dollars for the first person like I said (but depending on how much time it takes it could go up).
So lucid seeker... if you want me to try to make a font of your handwriting, do the following, and this wouldn't be a cursive font right...
On a sheet of paper with a black pen (thinner is better, but strong/bold and not scratchy/jumpy) write letters A-Z lowercase and uppercase, numbers 1-7, symbols such as `~!@#$%^&*()_-=+[{]};:'"<,>./?|\
Any symbols more than that will cost 15 cents each (for example, spanish letters, or anything in the character map). Scan it (decent scan please). Then I will check how long it takes to make a font...

This is what I analyzed:
-You are self motivated and attentive to details
-blanced energy levels
-guarded person, self suffcient
-you can be stubborn sometimes
-You have high goals
-You are impulsive and extroverted; emotions often influence your decisions
-You plan better than you execute
-You may need to expand your view
I may have forgotten some things... this is from my memory of what I have read
By the way that is some very gorgeous writing.

No offense or anything, but that doesn't really mean anything. Everyone 'can be stubborn sometimes' or 'may' need to expand his or her views. who doesn't plan better than they execute. Or should I say, is there anyone who executes better than they plan? Emotions often influence everyone's decisions. Unless said person is a robot.
Sorry but I had to say that, I get kind of sick of generalized analyzations of things.

I meant he would act rigid and can be hard to get to know at times. Not everyone is like that. For my handwriting, I have low energy level, I'm more of a thinker than a doer. I have a lot of mental agility but low endurance. For personality, not all people are influenced by emotions. About half are thinker types, not feeler types. And by the slant you can tell if they are more likely extroverted than introverted.
I could do I much more through job but this is from memory.

-You are aloof
-You have high energy level---forceful, dynamic, and productive, deeply felt emotions
-You find it difficult to express your emotions
-high self esteem
-blanced in approach to environment (neither dominating or shrinking away from persons or events) and you are responsive to your environment

Sorry but I must agree with ataraxis. The "reading of handwriting" is synonymous with palm reading, astrology, tarot cards, reading tea leaves, reading the bones, phrenology, psychics, crystal balls and every other blanket horoscopic statement. If any reader tries hard enough they can make any of that "apply" to themselves.
There's a really good video on Youtube by The Amazing Randi where he pretended to give a class-load of students their "real" horoscopes and asked them who thought they accurately described themselves. Every student raised their hand to say it did. He then asked them to switch with the student to their rear and - surprise, surprise - they discovered that each had been given the very same paragraph.
The only readings I trust are fortune cookies and Magic 8 Balls. Now that's true insight.

alright, although I believe handwriting reading can be biased, I think it has a basis of truth
I'm not basing this argument on my diagnosys, but because it has some meaning: just like the way you walk or speak tells much about, so does your handwriting and writing structure

"The best way to begin talking about what handwriting analysis is is to say what handwriting analysis is not. It is not some voodoo, psychic phenomenon that is linked with fortune telling and paranormal activity! Serious handwriting analysts (or graphologists) have tried for years to eliminate this assumption. Those who don head scarves and create an air of mysticism around this field are seriously misrepresenting this very valid, scientific profession! Handwriting analysis does not predict the future. Anyone who says they can do this is not practicing handwriting analysis.
Handwriting analysis is an amazing science that allows a trained graphologist to obtain insight into a person’s personality based upon their handwriting. Take a moment to grab a pen and some paper and write a few lines. Now look at what you wrote and how you wrote it. Why did you choose to begin writing at that certain spot on the page? Why did you space your letters and words the way you did? Think of the handwriting of someone you know. Is it different from yours? How? Is their pressure firmer or lighter? Is the slant different? Are the letter formations different? Is the writing smaller or larger? Why do you think that is?
Handwriting is not really handwriting at all! It is actually “brain writing.” Your hand is moving in a way that is being dictated to it by neurological patterns originating in the brain! Scientists have been researching neurological patterns in the brain for years, and handwriting is simply another every-day manifestation of those neurological happenings. Someone who is injured or paralyzed in an accident and is forced to learn to write with their mouth, their other hand or even a foot will retain the same basic characteristics in their writing. This is because their brain is really what is telling them how to form the letters and words on the page!
Handwriting analysis is not a new idea. It has been around in one form or another for centuries. It is a far more proficient way to screen people for jobs because it is non-biased and is nearly impossible to fool. Someone may try to change their writing to throw off an analysis, but in nearly every case this will not happen. Why? Because when someone tries to change one basic thing about their handwriting, a well-trained analyst will still find that characteristic in other parts of the writing. Major characteristics “repeat” themselves in many indicators throughout a sample of writing."
I agree with the above quote. Your handwriting shows your emotions and so forth. If you are rushed you can see your handwriting turning thread like. If you are anxious your handwriting will sow it by its light spidery look. If you are angry you will dig that pen deep into the paper and your letters will have sharp wedges.
For example I looked into my journal and I noticed a sentence that I wrote when I was angry and it was very spiky.
For handwriting analysis to be accurate you need to have a lot of samples of their writing to see a pattern. To see if that is etched in their personality. If you see a certain mark in their writing occasionally, that means its an occasional trait in their personality.
Just like your fingerprint, there is no handwriting that is EXACTLY alike.
However I do understand what you are saying. For me, I HATE horoscopes and the like.

So is your heart beat but I don't think that tells much insight into a person's personality. Look, I also own a book on handwriting analysis but, I still think that the amount of info revealed is far more limited than you seem to think. I agree that you can identify a given person's writing by comparing manual inflections and mannerisms and what not.
That being said, analyzing handwriting with the intention of revealing any specific personality traits is absurd and extremely arbitrary at best. Whether the writer was rushed or took their time does not qualify as a personality trait. Only the most general forms of information can be gathered by the mere study of one's penmanship.

Also, peoples' handwriting can change depending on the person's mood, how quickly they're writing, or if they're deliberately putting time and effort into it. You can see the examples that I gave in my post (on whatever page)... and not between the languages or my script, but when I'm looking to jot something down quickly, my handwriting is vastly different.

First off, like Oneironaut said, any vague description can fit ANYONE. In a similar video, Darren Brown asks for a couple of vague items from some people, goes into a room, then comes out 30 minutes later with about 6 incredibly "personalized" descriptions. Then they are all like "I have no idea how he was able to do that. That is amazing that he could know so much about me." Then they switched each other's... all the same.
Secondly, we should make clear here the difference between analyzing a person's personality traits here versus analyzing his or her mood and such. An analogy to this is me analyzing a set of footprints outside. I can easily tell someone's "mood" from a footprint. Much as a forensic detective does... for example, I check how much distance between each footprint to see if the person was running. If the foot is turned a lot in a running, I know the person was looking back behind them. Depending on the depth of certain parts of the footprint (weight distribution) I can tell if they were tip toeing, or running, or walking, etc. But I can't analyze the same characteristics and say that this person was haughty and self-confident, and very often stubborn. Furthermore, I think that the fact that people's handwriting changes based on their mood does not validate handwriting analysis, in fact, it renders it entirely pointless. According to lonewolf, it's about analyzing someone's personality traits, as well as current moods. However, when handwriting can change, it kind of makes the whole fact that it can represent set-in-stone, unchanging personality traits sound silly.
So, I, too, believe that each person's handwriting is identifiable due to certain things (I have observed this myself... for example, a little curve on an A that just happens to be in every A... I have often used this knowledge of handwriting to tell who's handwriting I'm looking at), as well as it can show emotions at a current time. But about personality traits... well... no.

That demonstrates its lack of credibility. It reminds me of the "weather stones" sold in gift shops: If the stone is wet = it's raining. If it's cold = it's snowing. If it's hot = it's sunny. etc... If you can only derive current status - especially in such an obvious manner - then it means nothing.

If you can recognise the traits shown in your handwriting when you're in a certain mood, then you can alayse the person's mood by their handwriting.
I do not doubt this can be used to analyse the person in an overall aspect.. but as I said, it can be biased and unscientifical sometimes.

Sorry, you aren't. I guess you see what you want to see. :P I'd be interested to see which word it is because I can't find one.
Exhibit A: (see attachment)
I see a few others in both letters that resemble Oneironaughty words as well. Then again, I'm looking for it.

Here's one of my answers to a question on a biology lab. My handwriting is in blue, obviously.

:chuckle:
Haha! It is a right answer. I always write stuff like that when I don't know the answer.

Girl's handwriting this is NOT.
It just goes to show that if your handwriting is terrible in one way, it's terrible in all ways (i.e., you can't polish a turd).
Me: "My hand writing is so bad..."
Audience: "How bad is it?"
Me: "So bad that when I wrote 'Backfire' my friend Slip thought I had written 'Dickfire'..."
Audience: "................Wow. That's pretty freakin' bad."
Me: "I know."
(Of course, that's not to say that Slip's handwriting isn't atrocious either; when he wrote down 'melting' it looked to me like 'mettiny'... "WHAT IS THIS METTINY!?" ... Hooray for chickenscratchers.)

Don't worry Lezen, I could read that on the first time through. It looks somewhat like my handwriting actually. The only big difference is I mostly use massive spaces in between words and you use very little. I feel your pain. Every time someone tries to copy my stuff I have to read it out for them. Then there is the whole teacher could not read this issue.
And I think it is funny that your left handed stuff is neater. Haha.

I could read it...with some difficulty, but did it in under a minute...mayeb half a minute...anyway, not three minutes like you said :P

I don;t have consistent access to a digital camera right now, but if I can stea- borrow my mom's and sister's camera, I can post it. For reference, it;s kind of like a messier, semi-print version of the final line in Pastulio_'s main paragraph.
(Although I have been told by two separate, unrelated females that it's really beautiful, I assume when one is not trying to read for comprehension.)
as soon as i get my dad's camera i'll post mine.

I haven't posted here yet but later I will post a pic of my handwriting, mine is funny...it all depends on my mood how I write...
Some of my writing looks like it was done by a girl, some looks like it was done by a monkey
:D
