View Full Version : I've tried a WILD, but...

I've only attempted three times, but I always end up with a plain dream.

My most recent is a good example:
I was lying in bed awake after 6 hours of sleep (I woke up with auto suggestion) and I was focusing on an image of something that happened the previous day, where some of my friends and I were sitting around a table. Sometimes my mind would make some people shift or lean forward. After a few minutes or ten, i don't really know, a swirling colorful mist obscured the view of them and I was whisked off to sleep and a dream started up, but everything up to that point I was completely aware.

So the question is, where did I need to do something different?

Also, all my attempts were before knowing there was such thing as a WILD, which I discovered last week but even with this new acquisition I still don't know what I could have done differently.

Maybe you need to read a WILD technique (like Clairity's) and just start over? I mean without trying to build on something that didn't go right. There are definite stages with a WILD, and you can recognise them as you try it - where you go wrong is where you stop going through the stages and either fall asleep or wake up. I don't know if you can learn where you went wrong from your experience - except maybe to be alert next time if you see a swirling colorful mist, because it means you're dropping off.
