Well, I got my first two lucid dreams, and they were both last night. Granted one was about 15 seconds and one only a bit more than a minute(according to my sense of time in the dream) But they were very cool experiences. I went to bed at 10:15 or so and set my alarm for 3:30. This was to wake up in the middle or end of a rem cycle. Anyways I got up, wrote down my dream and decided I was tired enough for a lil' WILD practice. After reaching 400 in "1 Im dreaming 2 Im dreaming.." I decided just to do what seri always says. I pictured a throw in from the rugby game I had watched earlier in the day and played it over and over in my mind. After about 10-15 minutes of this I heard this rushing wave like noise repeating over and over in my ears. I then felt a sick dizzy falling feeling and appeared in my room looking at the floor. For a little bit I rearanged the puzzle pieces on my floor with my mind. Then I woke up. That was the shorter one. Immediatly I tried again and this time I had the same feeling. I appeared in the canyons in the Lord of the Rings movie where they are walking with Smegol towards mordor. I walked around here for a bit but decided I wanted a better scene and tried to change it to a nice field. This was my mistake because when I closed my eyes to imagine it I woke up. Oh well, two WILDs in a night. Tonight I'll try for another, with the same technique.

I guess it was just cause i was determined.. I just wouldnt let myself go to sleep unconciencly.(sp) But I lost some sleep too. I only dreamt for about a min. 15 seconds but I was awake for around about 2 hours...lol, but most of that was trying to get to sleep afterwards..when I was so excited about WILDing twice.

Congrats on your first WILD. IF you need to lengthen the experience stay calm and spin if you find yourself waking up

And remember, spinning doesn't work if you close your eyes!
I found that out the other night!

And speaking of eyes, has anyone noticed that the further you keep your eyes open in an LD, the more vivid it becomes? Or maybe it is just me.
I was playing with that the other night, unfortunately, I must have tried to hard, because my physical eyes opened and the LD ended, bummer!

Well, spinning kinda works if you close your eyes. You just get those damn false awaknings! (The next time I have a false awakning, I'm going to turn my dream into a guy and beat the crap outta him!)

Ditto. I noticed that last week, too. I want to try it again asap. It would be a nice trick.

 YES, I'M HEARING YOU.
So basically you focus your mind on an arbitrary scene over and over again ? Like counting sheep ?
