I was inspired to make this thread after just heavily conversating with quite a bit of people about meeting up.
In about two years time, I might be meeting up with some members, and in summer 2008 I'll be likely meeting up with Artelis.
So, how many of you have actually met up - in real life - with another Dreamviews member?
If so, tell me how it was and include any pictures if possible.

I did meet 4 people I met on this other site, we were in a Club for Dutch People. I still sometimes see 2 of them, and drink some beer and such.
It just sounds gay "That dude I know from the interwebs".
But who cares.
Meet Ahoy!

Hey TweaK, how's Artelis doing these days?

He's fine, I guess. I'll let him know you cared, I doubt he will return the favour though.
Hey Tweak, I've met one DV member, "Lucid Seeker", a really cool British dude. We had deep conversations and all, since many deep personal things had already been shared in text on DV.
Sure, you've gotta be ready for the akwardness of E-people suddenly taking shape, but its worth those first few strange minutes, and is actually quite enjoyable, since you can really discuss at length, whatever it is you want to.
Lucid Seeker and I met up in Vancouver, Canada, since we both happened to be going on holiday/vacation to the same place. We spent an evening walking the streets, eating some pizza, sitting in hotel lobbies, and commenting on female passerby's physiques. Sound like fun? It was actually.
I encourage you to try your hardest to meet up, you won't be dissapointed...I would love to meet Artelis, THE Artelis...hehe.
Anyway, here are some of the pictures, courtesy of Lucid Seeker,:

I'm on the right and he is on the left. I look insanely happy, but, well, I guess that's good.
(I also have a vid of about 10 seconds but its crappy phone 3g2 vid so I'm hesitant)
Cheers

Thanks, and tell him I still know what he did last summer.

Haha that Matrix pic was so cool! Looks authentic.
Well, I actually have family in the area, both Vancouver and Victoria, so Cold Blooded, I loved Vancouver. It's like a friendlier Seattle, hehe, and they PROVIDE drug rehabilitation it seems, NOT prosecution. Just a thought.
But yeah, It's a great city, though Lucid Seeker and I did not see that many young people, we were hoping to do some dares, and approach a few honeys, but eh.
Canadians really are quite nice, I must say.

Hey TweaK, like bro said, we met up and the one thing you gotta realise is that it can be awkward when you first meet up with someone but when you get talking its like you've known them your entire life by the end of the day. Me and bro didn't experience much awkwardness but we were chatting like crazy by the end of the night. Its strange at first but i'm definately going to meet bro again somehow since he's a cool guy both on DV and in person. Its definately worth meeting up, i may meet up with some more DV members.
NeAvO your on my list, maybe i should give you cash in hand instead of internet transfers :D

Yep, the whole narcotic thing here is different from the States. I'm assuming you're referring to the heroin clinics. Fortunately, since the 2010 Winter Olympics are coming to us, they're starting a program to clean up that whole skid area. It really is an eyesore, but interesting to see the lives of people down there.

Haha, in the heart of Vancouver there are never that many young people, you'd have to go out into the surrounding suburbs.

That's awesome. Glad you had a good time. :D
If you guys come out some time again and I actually have a car, maybe I'll join up.

In 2 years?? You might not still know them in this time! I have invited NeAvO for a day/night out in Brighton, just got to wait for him to turn 18 first :p Plans are afoot to meet other people too :D

Maybe not. But the people I've decided to meet up with, well, let's say I see us still chatting about in two years time. And if not, then oh well. No loss there, right?
Anyway, I'll be meeting with Artelis in 10 months time, give or take. So that's not too much.
