View Full Version : When waking up in the morning
What can i do to get a lucid!?! I think MILD but i dont know.
I wake up im like WOW thats a cool dream, and i say to myself "Now Im going to Lucid Dream!" but it never works.
So what are some effective ways to get an LD from waking up in the morning.?
WILD's are good, but are hard unless you practice.
MILD's are pretty much the same, but a little different.
DILDS as you know it.
Pretty much it.

Try a WBTB DILD or WBTB MILD
Either one are good
A mild is when you just go through the dream in your head right? And spot out Dreamsigns and you'l recognize them?
The MILD tutorials always confuse me =X.

A MILD is auto suggestion like saying "I am going to have a lucid dream" etc. However you would like to put it.

Haha I was always skeptical about people saying they were going to have an LD then having one, but last night I woke up around 2AM and then told myself I was going to have one (I was too tired to WILD). Well I ended up having 4! Yeah 4 in one night. Although I'm only counting them as 2 because I had 3 where I kept having FA's then trying to VILD and succeeding and being lucid in the same place. But I realized I was dreaming 4 different times and I almost never have LDs.
I believe that there are 2 types of MILDS. One where you look for dreamsigns and the other where you just tell yourself to have one. I'm always confused about them (Laberge calls the dreamsigns one MILDs).
Bottom Line is that I would try waking up in the middle of the night. I think falling asleep to music is good because then it will slowly wake you up after deep sleep (I go to bed at around 11-12 and always wake up between 1-3AM with it still on). Then tell yourself that you will have an LD and you have a much greater chance you will. I think that waking up after deep sleep helps because you'll go into REM quicker and be more likely to remember it. It just seems you are more in touch with your dreams that way.

Good idea, i'll try it tonite.
Oh and for your guitar, check out an ESP Viper 1000. It should look like a LesPaul but its lighter, better pickups, and 24 frets. Perfect for metal and such. When i save enough thats what im getting.

Ok, so is 3 hours ok with FILD? Not the 5-6 as usual?

FILD's always worked for me, no matter how many hours I've been sleeping before. As long as you're still sorta tired when you try it.

But don't you have to re-enter a dream instantly?
Never

Get in the habit of dream spinning after waking up. I know it sounds stupid, but it works. When you are aware that your were dreaming, even if you almost opened your eyes, imagine dream spinning. With practice you will start to dream spin even when you are not lucid, and in so doing you will become aware you are dreaming at the last second. This often gives you just enough time to WILD before you become too awake.
I can pretty much WILD all the time, but now it is even easier with this, hehe. Anyhow, I always WILD after four hours of sleep every time I wake up. If I am sore, I turn over and WILD. If I am not, then I don't move at all.

Right if this doesn't work I will eat my hat.
When you wake up, try your hardest not to move or open your eyes, but remember your dream you just finished. Roll onto your back with your eyes still shut and fall back to sleep on your back thinking about the dream you just had, if you mind wanders let it and go with it, always trying to visualise what ever your mind puts there, and if it deviates from scene to scene and different thoughts let it and don't fight it. *looks for copywrite sign*
Let me know how you get on :)
