And here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up5jmbSjWkw) was another cool vid (different 'sighting') that someone posted on myspace:
If this one is fake (and it's hard to believe it's not - I'm leaning toward the "marketing for some multimedia company" side), then somebody did an awesome job. Haha.

That second Video was quite convincing, i'll remain skeptical about it but its pretty realistic, quite scary though if it is real :(

Hmmm..I'm becoming a little more skeptical of the second one, after finding This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mos9-LReoWQ&NR=1). It looks a little too 'set-up' to me...
Cool, though, either way. :goodjob2:

Not hard to do.

It seems that there are a few, perhaps four or five, in the crowd who are in on the hoax, and are pointing up to the sky and such (as well two people "recording" it on phones), but if you notice, portions of the crowd, outside of what appears to be a pub, take no notice in what you'd expect will be a dazzling sight. It is a fake.

As for the "UFOs", they are just simple balls of light that can easily be superimposed in post-production. Since it is in open sky, there is no complicated occlusion or reflections to deal with.

This is pretty lame.

That one looked like a flying submarine! I see what you mean now, it doesn't seem very real, but if it is a fake it makes you wonder why they put so much effort into making it look that realistic.

I don't really get your point.

I mean, so...hypothetically speaking, if this was the real thing...it would have to be "hard to do?"
I don't understand how finding a way that something could be hoaxed declares it a hoax. There is hardly any hand-held video, of any aerial event, that couldn't be produced digitally. Is your entire stance based on "well, if it can be done digitally, it obviously is, and is fake."?

It seems most probable that whatever was in the sky was actually seen, and it is not a digital alteration.

I doubt that something that the townspeople didn't see, would be broadcast in local news as a "mass sighting."
...Ya think?

But, on the possibility of hoaxes:

Lanterns:

UFO Balloons:

Glo-Lantern:

Looks like these are pretty popular in the UK. :chuckle:

Are you sure it was a UFO? Are you sure it wasn't..... nothing?

I guess technically, it qualifies, as clearly it was flying, and not identified... but that doesn't automatically mean there are aliens coming. I'm not denying the likelihood of there being life on other planets (it would be very stupid to assume otherwise), but let's face it, 99.999% of these shots are basically fake, and most of the rest are stray weather balloons and the likes. I'm reminded of the "Angel" episode of the simpsons :D.

Also, for your enjoyment:

Watch the whole thing (only a couple minutes). At 1:35, it gets real messed up, and the last 3-4 seconds are priceless.

Of course I am (more sure that they were "UFOs" than "nothing"). Like you implied, UFO stands for "Unidentified Flying Object"

It is not synonymous with "Extra-terrestrial Spacecraft."

By posting them, I'm not saying "OMG! Look @ the alien spacecraft hanging over that crowd in the UK!!!!!" However until they are identified, I make no reservations as to such a thing being impossible.

With the billions and billions of planets, galaxies, etc. Even the possibility of multiple universes. I think it's safe to say that "There's Something Out There." Good find man!

Ok the first one and secound one are fake no doubts about it and nothing will change my mind. If anyone is familiar with the Phoenix Lights they will know that that was a mis understanding it was actually coming from a military base testing a new aircraft they had a whole show about it. And also notice mostly all UFO sightings occur at night? That's part of the reason why the military bases and all of that do their testings so they don't create a big scare like they did with the Phoenix lights. Oh and here is a site that tells you how to create your own fake UFO sightings video :p http://www.rense.com/general65/aamz.htm
The instructions are at the bottom of the page

If no one knows what the Phoenix Lights were here they are

Wow, the second video of Oneiro's was fantastic - even if it was a fake, it looked very cool.

To me, the first video seems very convincing, along with the article. It probably wasn't a hoax, as so many people have confirmed it, and the other possible explanations are somewhat lacking.

Thanks for making my day! :D
