Im legaly insane and so im on all types of meds, but i take none of them. because if i were not ment to be this way, i wouldnt be. but ne way, i always seem to be ahead of my class and such and yet im still deemed insane, this is because my brainwave patterns are that of a out of this world lunitic, now to get down to my point. i believ that im not insane but all those unlike me are insane in a way that they dont know the truth, their world is only what thier mind has made to be true to keep them from what i see, i think my mind is in a constant state of deep meditation, i know for a fact that my subconcious mind is like a meditating guru. ive spoken to it. but back to what i was saying, do you think its possible that im not "insane" but more aware than most?

i think i've seen a t-shirt that said that. "i'm not paranoid. i'm just more aware than most."
think what you want about your own state of mind. we don't know you or your situation so we can't say for sure... just don't hurt anyone and you're fine in my book.

I think almost all people on this forum are searching for something... what are they searching for? I guess you could sum it all up by saying 'the truth'. We can't tell you what is wrong with you/the world.
However, it's good to talk about things with other people, so I will give my opinion. With what information I have about you, I would say be patient. I think it would be beneficial for you to be open about both sides of the argument (are YOU insane, or is the world insane?). I would try taking the pills. Then I would hope to go off the pills again, to see if there is a difference.
Im no doctor, but I think pills can't 'cure' something like this. So, for you, I prescribe a LOT of thinking.

'Insanity' is a definition by power-hungry conformism-loving mind perverts who want nothing more than a nation with no diverse thought. I don't really give a shit how weird someone is - all I want to see is respect for the fellow man and I'll give the same in return. I know there are people who are too mentally-deviant to make just decisions in life, but - you're ahead of everyone in your class and you're not some crazy psycho rapist child-killer? And they want you medicated? They think they know us better than we know ourselves.
*edit
I say this because I too have a 'mental illness'. It isn't the type that can be diagnosed by expensive equipment or counselling, but rather it's how I perceive something in the world. Because I look at this particular part of the world in a certain way which is 'deviant', I'm immediately labeled mentally-ill by society, and not even given a chance to explain my situation. I have a profound level of respect for people, I don't pass judgment, and I certainly don't try to impose myself on ANYONE. And I should be in jail rotting, or in therapy having my mind molested because I'm 'sick' for seeing something which many people don't...

thats one thing that really pisses me off. those damn docters, and thier damn diagnostics. a kid is a little hyper, so they say he has ADHD, now hes on an amphetamine called ritalin, witch will keep him from being free, this paticular amphetamine is addicting and so he has to now live off of it, why couldnt they just let the kid be hyper? hes going to burn himself out and those his energy before he gets to much older ne way. and so my brain works a little different than thiers, and they dont like that im out of the norm, so they try to transform me with medications, schitzo' is something i dont have a problem with, so why should they???well i dont know, but it shur does make me angry

I enjoy meeting people who are outside the norm...Too many people rely on social expectations to dictate whether they view someone as 'good' or 'bad'. I find this an incredibly boring waste of my time. I'd rather meet someone who isn't afraid to show me his/her real side, and is completely different than everyone else, than someone who conducts his/herself 'properly' in order to appear 'normal'.
Gotta love a country which readily supplies innocent children with every kind of drug imaginable, just to keep them 'in line' (without their consent of course), and at the same time condemns free-thinking adults from smoking a joint based on an informed, personal decision.
And that's another thing, children and consent. If kids were told exactly what the drug is, what it does to them, what the side effects are, and why they are made to take it, would it still make sense to assume that they are 'just kids' and have no idea how to make an informed decision? I say bullshit...
Even as children we're encouraged like nothing else, to turn over our minds to the authorities. After all, they know best...Why, you ask?! Don't ask why!!!

The idea of passivly accepting things to be right because its being carried out by an authorities has been inprinted in childrens mind by every1 around them constantly fighting for higher authority. its a sick world and i dont see it getting any better in the near future, not as long as the greater population of this sphere is still simple minded media heads. thats one thing causing the way people are so damn passive these days, no responce to a damn thing. this world is all based on media these days and whats the king of media?? YOUR TELEVISION, and it just so happens that there is a light in the tv that causes alpha waves in the brain, to much alpha will create an constant state of day dreaming. sometimes i feel the urge to put a commercial on TV that goes something along these lines "HELLO , CAN YOU FUCKING HEAR ME? OR ARE YOU TO STUCK ON STUPID, SITTING THERE HELPLESS, you SLAVES, stuck in your tanapangarap state, GET UP AND THINK FOR YOURSELF" , ive been up for a few days, if this sound crazy, it is because it is crazy.

You described, in essence, my existence at home around my parents. They tell me I should behave a certain way (obey the law! don't smoke pot! religion is the foundation of society, accept it!), and when I ask 'why', they go into a state of mild shock! :P
I feel helpless because 'why' has no place in their minds...
"To question authority will cause you great pain!"

If you feel that you are being suppressed by people who say 'Dont ask why!!' or whatever, then you can still rebel. It is important to remember, though, that you won't get anywhere by rebelling in the real world. However, you can rebel in your mind as much as you like - they can not get you there!
I also have something to say in defense of our elders...
You have to be careful to descriminate between stupd elders and smart elders. After all, how DO you know that you are in the right? Only time and experience can give you an equal opinion. I know that right now, I understand things much better than when I was only a couple of years younger. I try to listen to my elders because most times, they really do know best.

think for yourself, but don't forget that other people can think too. question authority, but be prepared for authority to answer, and listen to what they have to say.

I certainly don't assume *all* elders are stupid. I've met with many who are intelligent and respectful - however, my parents, specifically, rely on the "Don't do it because it's bad!" ideology. They have a very obvious set of moral standards which are in sync with the government, and my mom has used the "religion is the foundation of a proper society" line on me before...
Many many many MANY times a week I question what I believe in...Sometimes I think it isn't worth trying to live in the supposed 'higher reality'. Sometimes I DO think I should just slip back into the groove of society and keep acting as if a specific moral standard rules the universe. But then I remember how miserable and conflicted I was during those times. I remember the ignorance I displayed towards the groups which I am now a part of...I've made an emotional realization that I understand how people should be treated. I've realized that life isn't black and white - we each have a slightly different way of interpreting our world, despite how similar we appear to be. Not everyone is as bad as my parents think - and there are things I wouldn't dare tell my parents about myself for fear of disownment...Not because I'm actually a bad person, but because they honestly have no clue about my true emotions. They don't realize the stereotypes they place on a group of people because of 'deviant' behaviour, and they close their eyes to any possibility of anything positive coming from it.
That's how I come to the conclusion that they ARE misguided :( Life experience means nothing if the experience itself is biased. I've had a chance to see both sides of the equation, and I feel happier believing what I do these days. I don't treat my parents with disrespect or anything, I just don't agree with what they tell me.

They can always get you in your mind. Always.
Do not ask questions. Your parents are always right. Your psychiatrist is always right. President Bush is always right. Do don't ask why. ;)
Seriously, it isn't that there is anything wrong with you incubusfunkman, what is wrong is society, and the people in it that think they are better than you. Face it. We are all insignificant...in reality our small lives cannot compare to reality at a whole (cracks evil smile).
You can't change anything by so-called "rebelling". You can change things two ways:
1. With money.
2. With violence.
2 is slowly fading out of existance. Today rebellions can be crushed swifty, usually with Special Forces, or just bombing most everything in general. 1 is usually taken because of how much people are seduced by it.
In fact, psychiatrists just spit out some bullshit to make your parents feel like they're getting their money's worth. He probably has a bigger pyschological problem that you "have" (yea, right), so try to get too mad. :)
