Anyone else watching this? I'm probably going to go out to a field nearby at around 1:30, as it hits its peak at about 2:00.

I can't wait to see it. This kinda thing amazes me. Its actually going on right now, though you'll only be able to see 2 or 3 every hour.

Its taking place in the Eastern Sky, and will be between us and Mars. So if you're in a good area, you'll be able to see Mars like it was a bright red star. Get out your Camera's! :D

I would, but it's kind of cloudy/hazy here (at least to much for it to be worth braving the hoards of mosquitoes). Hope it's better on your end!

I think I'll go check it out in a few minutes, actually. Thanks for the reminder.

I just went out and saw a few. I will probably go out again. I know from experience that you see a whole lot more if you go out and watch during the peak.

I saw one meteor shower several years ago (can't remember if it was a Perseids or a Leonids), but at it's peak I was seeing a constant flow of meteors. There was pretty much one in the sky at any given moment--and sometimes I was seeing several at once. It was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. It kind of spoiled me for all future meteor showers. But I still love them even when there is only one per minute or two.

I've been watching for almost 3 hours. (From 1:00 to 4:00 EST). It was pretty great! It was a pain though as there are too many lights. Light Pollution was a problem, and just dealing with the street lights in the area was a problem. It was beautiful when I did see some though.

Wow, sounds amazing TS. I would've loved to have seen that. Must've been breathtaking. This meteor shower was okay, and thats taking into account that I'm in the middle of the city. I saw 3 really bright ones all at once, or really close together at least. It was quite a sight. I wish I lived, or could've gone to, a more secluded area, away from all the lights and light pollution. :(

Its daylight here so nothing for me. Although out in Spain last week there were a lot on Saturday night.

I could of swore I saw one last night. I forgot the event was happening but on my way home, I seen something flash across the sky. At the time, I just thought it was my imagination. After reading up today and realsing the event was last night, it could very well of been a meteor :)

Wow, Exobyte, that's dedication.

I went out just before dawn (about 4:20) and watched for about 10-15 minutes. I saw quite a few. Probably 2-3 a minute.

Cool...

I saw three at once also (not the same ones since our timing was off and I wouldn't call mine "really bright"), but that was the highlight for me, too...:).

It was worth getting up early for.
