I'm looking for a good meditation track. You know, soothing, helps clear your mind, has no lyrics or other things that would distract you... This isn't for LD, just general meditation/mind-clearage. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but if you really want to meditate for real then I suggest the old traditional ways. In the modern 21. century we want everything instant, free, quick and easy but the question is how well it really works. The fact is that they want to make money and will go for anything people want. If you still want music, which is ok and relaxing, I suggest you get limewire and try some searches. Try some keywords like meditation music or calm, relaxing etc. If my memory is correct there might be some people here on DV who are into meditative, relaxing music and stuff, I dunno... :P
Good luck!

Hmm, what do you mean by "old, traditional way"? In the old, traditional days, people went someplace quiet, with maybe a soothing, yet repeatetive noise (e.g. waves crashing), to get into the zone :).

Go to the music section and listen to Dark Corners, November, October, December, or Ebb and Flow. Those are the most relaxing, but generaly all of the music is on the slower side, with the exeptions of a few trance tracks. You can download all of the music if you like it here (http://www.resequenced.com/asp/mp3_links.aspx).

Right... I was asking for recommendations :D. I wasn't asking for ripped mp3's, if that's what you were implying. That would make Lars Ulrich's gold-plated balls deflate a little.

I'm also looking now for the same thing, for a friend of mine that enjoys meditating with recorded instructions or relaxing music. Any links will be appreciated.

Apparently if you type meditation music in google you get lots of samples to listen to, or whole downloadable mp3s actually.
Check the first 3 sites, it looked like they have lots to chose from.
Googly search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=sl&q=meditation+music&btnG=Iskanje+Google&lr=)
Also i think that shakuhachi music is nice for meditation. The only sample I found is here (http://ananga.squarespace.com/display/ShowJournal?moduleId=1100973&categoryId=94978). I read on wiki that some Zen buddhist sect uses it. Sounds perfect for your purpose :P .
