RILD - Reward Induced Lucid Dream

This is a pretty simple technique to use. But to use it you can(recommended) do a DEILD (Dream Exited Induced Lucid Dream). Ok so now onto the tutorial.

1.) Before going to bed do whatever technique helps you get to sleep. Or just go to sleep. Doesn't matter. Or atleast it doesn't matter with me. When you're going to sleep try to think of a puzzle or a race or sport to be in when you enter a dream.
-A good example of this would be the game Portal. This is how I became lucid. I had to figure out a difficult puzzling involving 2 people getting together to umm....do it. It's alittle weird...

2.) When in the dream of whatever try to look at your surroundings and quickly memorize it. Try to figure out what's going on and what you need to do. Now wake up!

3.) This is where the DEILD comes in. Now quickly in your mind figure out how you're going to win the race, or solze a puzzle. While you're solving it you should try to re-enter the dream. Also say that once you win this race or puzzle or whatever that you will be rewarded with a lucid dream.

4.) Now this is the part where it works or it doesn't. Once you're back into your dream attempt to win the race, solve a puzzle, or win a sport. It's probably best to pick something that's easy for you.

5.) If you do win the race or whatever then you should be rewarded with a lucid dream. Now go have fun!
-Once I got the 2 people together in my dream I was awarded with a lucid dream, and I spawned in my living room. I didn't even have to do a RC or anything. I just knew I was lucid. Plus I shoved my arm through a computer...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, this is my first tutorial and I really hope it works for people like it did for me!
I was very pleased with myself not just for becoming lucid, but for solving a puzzle in my dream.

doesnt this require you be lucid for the first dream to realize that you need to memorize the surroundings and then wake up...?

Why should you become lucid when you're allready lucid?

Maybe I'll attempt to justify this type of method.

It's a Reward and...

You see, your subconscious...

And then while you're...

So you get the Lucid dream.

See?

Sounds like a good technique slayer.

You might be able to also call this technique a Lucid Dream Induced Lucid Dream since it seems like you use the first lucid dream to induce the next lucid dream.

Using this technique a person could possibly have several lucid dreams in one night after having their first one.

Sounds like you use the puzzle thing to induce the first lucid dream which is a good technique, as a lot of people have commented on how concentrating on something before going to bed has helped to become lucid.

And then you memorize your surroundings while in the first lucid dream, which is another great technique, as any kind of thinking like this that a person does while in a lucid dream is going to help break down the wall between the physical state and the dream state, and make it easier to enter a lucid dream in the future.

And then you decide what you want to do in your next lucid dream while using a dream reentry technique to reenter the lucid dream and reward yourself with another lucid dream.

Good first tutorial. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Oh! So you concentrate on something to pull yourself into an LD. Thanks iadr, for putting it into perspective.

Sounds good; I often have dreams I am in some kind of competition (hey, I've only just realised that) so I might give this a try! You don't have to be like in a trance or something... can just saying it to yourself surfice? If you dwell on something you tend not to dream about it (unless you spend like the whole day), or at least that's what I've found.
