Hey all, Sorry I have not been around lately! I have been in a major funk lately, Dealing with a lot of anger about life. Normally I am not an angry person and I get over things quickly. Maybe that is my problem, I'm not really over them.

Anyway... since the forum is mostly guys I won't get into my guy bashing mode. Nah, I would never do that... it's just a few guys I am angry with not all of them. But really I don't know how to get over it! I find myself just wanting to say "Fuck EVERYONE!!!" I've been screwed over one to many times and I'm sick of it. Tell me... WHAT IS THE POINT???

I was encouraged by Truthbearer to post about all the stuff that has been going on in my life... well the stuff that has been keeping me away from DV. He reminded me that there is a great support system here and that my DV family is here for me! So anyway... I forgot, Thanks for reminding me, and thanks in advance for being here for me!

Anyway... I won't go into the whole saga of what is pissing me off, no one wants my sob story. I've just been in a dark place and that is why I have not been around.... but I do have a question for you all, How do i freakin deal with this anger? I can't get it to go away unless I am sleeping, smoking or drinking. Of course that is a temporary fix. Oh well... maybe time will heal? screw that!!!! LOL!!!!

p.s. I still believe in love... but I don't think it believes in me!

How to do deal with anger about love frustration.. well.. that's a real toughie.. if not impossible to answer.. I am more inclinced to the latter.

First of all, don't rely on anything to help you deal with any pain or anger; it leads to obsessions, and delusions of happiness.. I'm sure you've heard enough lectures on those.

What I want to tell you though is that love is hard.. but nothing in life comes with just a wish or is easily smoothed over. You have to sweat in order to get through life, you have to bleed, because it means you are alive..

I too have thought that love was hopeless.. that it is all just lies.. But if you have the strength, perserverance, and hope, you will see that it is not all lies, that whatever happens, happens. I don't believe in fate, but I do believe that nothing comes easy, and even when you reach that crescendo that you have been trying to achieve for so many years; you have to fight to keep it.

As a good quote, I will quote a movie which people have typically ridiculed me for doing so; Just Married. Yes, Ashton Kutcher's father had a decent line in the movie.. the only decent line. They were looking through a photo album and he said, "You never see the hard days in a photo album... but those are the ones that get you from one happy snapshot to the next."

Some of my personal favorite quotes (which I believe I have said on the board before) are:

"For every beautiful rose you pluck, dirt must come with it."
and
"Even though a picture falls off the wall, it does not mean the nail is broken."

I hope they help and are not just completely vague..

Oh, and welcome back. It's good to have another girl around here to counteract the effects of us men. Sometimes it feels a bit like a sausage fest in here.

Sorry you feel bad about the whole "Life and love" thing. If I lived where you lived i'd take you out for some lunch and a movie to help you get your mind off of it, but I guess we'll just have to settle for an "e-pat on the back".

Hey!!!! Sorry I hadn't posted here yet, even if I was who encouraged you to post here!!! I have been off for 4 days so haven't really entered DV. I feel bad because of that, so sorry...

Anyway, I am glad to see you back and I am glad you got the help you needed from our great community. Hang in there...I am sure you things will advance and you will meet new great people. Hate is generally not forever, or at least it shouldn't be. There is no purpose on holding on to it and this will just make your life miserable. I also suggest you don't try to change people. I say accept things for what they are and learn to deal with them.

I know I am just rambling like a madman, but it sounds like good advice inside of here, I guess. Perhaps I am just giving advice to myself vicariously through you...not sure. Anyway, I am glad you are back :D
