Well, today was my first, and very obvious, speed through a red light. You know when you kind of just pay attention to the person in front of you... well I saw a yellow, and he floored the pedal. He was a good 5-6 car lengths in front of me. I don't know wtf was going through my head but I did also. The light turned red for a good second before I went through it. There was only one car waiting to go, and thank God NJ has a really long delay (the other lights won't turn green until a good second after the lights turn red).

And of all the other stupid shit I may have done - I have a clean record! Though I yet have to get into an accident like a few friends I knew have.

This isn't a senseless joke post either I'm seriously, seriously disgusted with myself now. :(

So are you an idiot driving, or are you performing idiot driving?

I believe I was performing it, or maybe I had a temporary brain lapse and was momentarily a person with an IQ of about 60.

That's the last time I ever try to beat a yellow. Especially at night... those lights seemed a lot closer than they really were...

I can't stop thinking about a parallel reality were something really bad just happened.

Think of it this way.. you'll never do it again and blessedly no one was hurt while you learned the "lesson". ;)

I know what you mean about moments like that, blade. Intersections can be dangerous - I had a too-close call recently as well that scared the hell out of me to think of what might've happened.

I guess it took something like that to make me be a better driver. I try not to speed either, but it's so easy on the freeway...
