seriously, probably one of the worst feelings, in my opinion, is feeling despondant...i was just thinking, what causes people to become despondant, and what can be done to reverse this? ...perhaps despondancy isnt the word im looking for here...im talking about when you feel a sort of depression, wherein you are unhappy doing whatever activity it is you are doing, but do not wish to do anything else either...a sort of 'im bored, but i dont wanna do anything either' ...hrmm, ya

Try taking vitamin b6, it actually helps inhibit the abundance of serotonin involved in those groggy bored despondant moods. Eat a banana.
We all get in those moods too.. have you been feeling like this often, though, WerBurn??

In-door syndrome? If you are in doors doing something lazy - like watching tv or anything that doesn't require too much movement, that feeling can occur. I'd suggest going out doors for fresh air in that case.

Try some of your old hobbies again.
Go outside, wander.
Drive around, aimlessly.
Do stuff with friends.
Get a girlfriend.
Take it one day at a time (make a goal for each day .. something positive and benefitial to you)..
Stop your daily routine and just do something different??
Plant some plants and tend to them?? Get a [new] pet??
Good luck!
I rarely ever become depressed. Maybe people become depressed becuase of having to cope with reality and maybe their social status isn't too good either . . . I don't know, a lot of factors can cause depression. :?

One of the feelings I hate the most...yet sometimes my most productive moments. When I feel like that I generally just like to sit down, grab a pen and notepad and begin to write. I write songs, poems, anything that will help me describe, convey, release and understand this feelings. Don't know if that might help you too, but it generally keeps me entertained a bit until I kind of snap out of it or fall asleep....

It's scientifcally proven you have your best ideas when you are relaxed -take Netwon's idea for gravity, for example. What was he doing? Sitting under a tree, being relaxed. See, laziness makes ideas!

I know exactly what you mean, WerBurN. when you don't feel like doing anything, not even sleep. it's quite depressing.
