Oh no! :(

Hmm, have you tried meditation or self-hypnosis, drinking warm milk (which works, surprisingly), reading before bed until your eyes hurt, some melatonin, being super active that day (like exercising)...

I know it's hard, but try not to think, "Okay, I have to fall asleep.. why am I not falling asleep.. come on, fall asleep!!" because that will only keep you awake.

Hmm, I'm trying to think of more..

I found a tip for meditation which seems to work for me...Just a thought...
I don't know how good you are at controlling your conscious mind, but when you're trying to sleep, try concentrating on the high pitched sound in your ears (or head?). If you can hold your consciousness on this sound alone, perhaps it can slow your mind down.

Or smoke a bunch of pot if the problem's beyond that ;)

I recommend you solve whatever problem is stressing you. I can't go to sleep sometimes if I haven't done my college assignments, or if I have offended somebody. So solve whatever problems you have, if you can - then you can relax. If the problem is something you can't solve, then there is no point worrying about it, so just remind yourself as you try to relax that "whatever will be will be."

Only worry about the problems you CAN solve, and DO solve them; else you'll have regrets and sleeping problems as a result.

Sorry I missed you today Shadows ;)

Is this related to your nightmares maybe? Scared of having them? Or not?

For just trying to relax, I suggest you lie down on your back, close eyes and do that first bit of the self-hypnosis trick.
Just count to 100... or 200 if it's really bad... each number being 1 half of a breathe.
In other words - in (1), out (2), in (3), out(4) and so on.
Breathe steadily and fairly slow.
For EACH number, imagine writing it in some sort of ink in front of your head. That keeps you concentrated, and the slow breathing calms you down.

Just a thought ;)

Taken melatonin. Or get a prescription sleeping pill.

Not sleeping is not good.

hallucogens or alcohol. Something that'll put you out and let you dream. Your dreams may be wild, but you'll be dreamin'! ;)

Yeah, getting drunk and climbing into bed could be dangerous. I think someone responsible should supervise. :)

What's your diet been like? Have you eaten/drank a lot of sugary stuff? Have you taken in much caffeine? I've noticed that at least w/ strong coffee the psychological effects don't kick in until like 6 or 7 hours later.

Do you know what's causing your stress? School? Problems w/ peers/family? If so, do you think it's anything I can help with?

Are you exercising right before bed? I find that that actually keeps me up. I personally would avoid sleeping pills mainly becuase of the posibility of reliance on them, but that's just me.

I'd say look at the stress thing before anything else. There are many of us who want to help one another. If it makes you feel any better to talk about problems, please do. I've talked about issues in my life with many people, and vice versa, and it feels great, like tension disappearing.

Hey! I'm in marching band, too!

Anyway, what are you stressed out about? If I can't help, I'll tell you. If you don't want to post it publically PM me. Other than that, I don't see anything that's really wrong. I hope I can help you out.
