I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in the US. Nothing special about it. Just lots of drugs and crime and 14 year old girls getting pregnant by 40 year old guys who are now in prison for stabbing their other baby momma's momma for looking at him the wrong way. Maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But then again, maybe it's not too far off... :cheeky:

To answer the thread question, University Medical Center right here in Jackson, Mississippi. I was born here in this Southern Baptist stronghold of the Bible Belt in the immediate aftermath of the crazy civil rights battles and chaos the movies are about. I was also born during the Vietnam War, and the rednecks that used to hate on hippies infested the area. Have you ever seen Easy Rider? (Well, that was east Louisiana, which is just over the bridge and pretty much the same deal.) Things seemed so innocent and beautiful in my early days in this insane place. But the scenery here really is extremely beautiful, so I think I am staying.

My town is good except for the pikeys and chavs. Yeah it's one of the most alcoholic parts in England as well as has the highest teen pregnancy rating in the whole of Europe
However It's not as bad as it sounds, it does have some good sides to it like a river running through the centre. Loads of places to shop and eat a couple of night clubs, pool halls, sports halls.
I have a castle less then 10 mins from house ect.

I was born in Erie, PA, a dying port city where people live in houses that are crumbling into the earth amid turf wars among black gangs and a dwindling number of white bikers.
I grew up in and around a little town south of there, a former mineral springs spa given over to tool and die and odd-jobbing (roofing, siding, scrap hauling, hunting, small engine repair, etc.). It's a pretty weird town--people are stoical and even caustic, but they'll give you the shirt off their back if you need it.

As for French, I have a deep hatred of the French language...for one reason and one reason only. They have people devoted to creating new words for the new things that come out. That is just annoying... when the new blah blah blah comes out it would be nice if everyone on the planet just used a single word for the new item...but no you frenchies just can't allow that! =P you sucks.

However, in the cities I have barely seen any while living there. If your wanting to avoid places because of spiders, hehe, then I suggest not moving to florida...you can't take a step without tripping over daddy long legs...oh, and if you have a problem with spiders watching you shower...lol not a good idea to move to FL either.

Woes, Florida is such an awesome state it is worth dealing with the spiders, even being bitten by them. If you have never been to a Florida beach, you need to make a point to go to one at least once in your life. In a lot of the panhandle, the sand is about as white as sand gets and the water is very clear and bluish green. You have to go to Pensacola and beyond to see what I am talking about. I think the beach in Sandestin is literally the best in the world.

What you talking about, Willis? You are screwing up my Florida tourism conspiracy. The beaches smell great, and so does fast food. There are no fast food places on Pensacola Beach, and the same is true about a bunch of other beach areas, especially the rural areas between towns. Those are just pure wilderness by the road. Destin and Panama City are a completely different story, but I think major civilization by beaches is a good thing.

The real problem is global cooling. The development is going to be too far away from the ocean when the glaciers get bigger, and that is going to piss off the business owners. I know that global cooling worry is so 1970's, but it is going to be back in style again. I'm on the cutting edge.
