Hey, all I did was post some information. Im not telling you what to do with it. That choice is yours. Most people don't realize how many of the things that bother them in life are caused by sugar, and I thought I'd share that information with you.

Wow, I can't believe that people on this forum split half-and-half over pot, but you mention sugar and the monkies on their backs start up a-hootin and a-poo-flingin in total accord.

I have a massive sweet-tooth myself, but because my diet is mostly organic and whole foods, I get almost no refined sugars these days. I eat tons of sweets, but they're made with natural sugar sources and/or evaporated cane juice, and other unprocessed ingredients. They taste 100x better than the High-Fructose-Corn-Syrup Delivery Devices in the grocery store. A few months ago I would still sometimes buy a sack of Keebler cookies or something, and they were almost sickening when I was no longer habituated to artificial crap-food laced with liquid crack(HFCS). IMO, junkfood manufacturers should be held to the same standards as the cigarette companies. Their product is equally addictive, more aggressively marketed toward children, and at least as destructive of public health. Also, it encourages an agricultural system that reduces our food choices, destroys local economies, and steadily erodes our quality of life, making us more dependent on corporate monoculture.

I myself ahve been addicted to sugar since I was little and am having a hard time trying to break this addiction. I've never had a moment in my life where I've felt satisfied from sugar. It's like cocaine. It just leaves you wanting more. And though it's destruction is slower, its acceptance makes it quite dangerous. "Oh its just sugar" then 40 years later theyre suffereing from health problems that could have been prevented. Or even younger people are getting diabetes. Its poison. But hey, whatever yuo do, enjoy it. THe stress will kill you before anything.

I think you'll find it comforting to know that dieticians have absolutely no fucking clue what they're on about. Real life example from 2 months ago:

"And in other news, scientists say an egg a day can help with breast cancer..."

Then a week later...

"A new study shows that eggs are potentially dangerous to the human body"

Besides, who gives two shits what they eat. Everything is lethal at the end of the day, if you eat it for like 2,000 years. They always seem to miss out that small part though...

And even if it was so potentially life threatening...sugar is used everyday by almost everybody...why isnt like 90% of the population dead yet?

If we listened to every peice of advice dieticians and doctors gave us we'd be starving ourselves to death. We can't eat eggs, sugar, flour, milk, beef, meat, chocolate...the list just goes on and on.

To bring my point home and completely flummox you, a quick search on google reveals that, apparently:

Fat free foods could be bad for you
High heat foods could be bad for you (ie: cooked food)
Fat might not be bad for you, contary to what you've been told for like the past 10 years
Mcdonalds is bad for you (...surprinsgly, if you eat a bit of salad with it, it's a balanced meal. yes, go eat some burgers + salad now)
Bugles are bad for you
Butitoni Contadina Alfredo Sauce is bad for you
Pizza Hut's Big New Yorker pizza is bad for you
Entenmann's Rich Frosted Donuts are bad for you
Noodles are bad for you
Burger king french fries are bad for you
Campbell's red and white labelled soups are bad for you (even though soup was apparently very healthy a while ago)
Lay's potato chips are bad for you
Denny's grand slam is bad for you
Soda is bad for you
Seafood is bad for you
Fish is bad for you except for the Alaskan red salmon

Like I said, dieticians have no clue what they're talking about. Just eat it and enjoy.

DIeticians are usually full of shit because it doesnt take much to become a dietician. That list was compiled by a doctor. And sure, by all means, go pig out. Just dont complain when your kids have diabetes and you're suffering from health problems when you're older.

Almost everything on this list is processed, packaged crap or fast food. Of course it's not nourishing, and has negative health effects. It also tastes like crap compared to well-prepared whole foods. Yeah, people eat it everyday--and obesity is up, cancer is up, diabetes is up, asthma is up. Maybe you get a little rush when your tongue recognizes that familiar patented flavor compound, but in the long run this shit destroys our quality of life.

I went on a no-sugar diet once because I had a yeast infection or something. It was pretty bad-- there was practically nothing that I could eat at all. And the worst part was that it was on Valentines day! Luckly, I found this place that had sugarless chocolate that tasted like the real stuff.

Moral of the story: food can ruin your health.
