...but I think the idea behind the new JCPenney Valentine's Day commercial is hilarious. Seen it? It's the one where the man take these necklaces out of a box and are swinging them in front of the camera (their women) all hypnotic-like and are saying "you like how this looks....you are very happy with me right now..." Lol.

It's not on youtube (yet) but you can see it on their website (http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/default.aspx) for now (link on right side of page).

You know it amazes me...

Things that are funny on TV are not as funny on the internet.

I've recognized this phenomenon for awhile now...ever since I tried to show someone a skittles commercial online that I thought was hilarious when I saw it on TV. But when I watched it online it was not funny in the least.

Can anyone explain this to me? Are we just used to seeing way funnier shit online? Like Japenese pranks and funny videos and stuff...

You know, I've noticed that. I think you've got it pretty much nailed, too. Most of the shit we see on TV is somewhat lame, so when something good comes on, it really stands out. On the internet, though, we're able to look up things that are a million times funnier, at any given moment. So, sure, I see where you're comin from with that.

definately shallow and sexist.

To me I don't see much difference in humor of TV commercials vs Internet stuff. Well just IMHOPFTH.
