So, today I have to make a big choice, it was made up in my haid, but now it's not because things have changed a little.

I can:

a) Go to Australia for 6 months next year at a potentially terrible uni and spend lots of money doing so (the awesome uni I was going to go to is being awkward with my current instiution right now, so it mihgt be off the table), but live with awesome pople there and for 6 months before going.

or

b) Go to a meeting tonight and sign a contract for a house with a bunch of people I don't know (I didn't go with friends because of the Australia thing that was going to go ahead at the time), stay where I am right now and continue being given money for being awesome.

Hmm, it's a toughie.

If I wasn`t leaving anyone important behind and I wouldn`t have to pay for it with a kidney, I`d go to Australia. It`s only 6 months, sounds like a cool experience to look back on.

Indeed - you aren't talking about six years or the rest of your educational life. Now is the time to travel and experience things, before you start accumulating responsibilities.

I'd head Down Under.

Agreed! It's a perfect oppurtunity to get out and explore the world and enjoy your life with who I'm assuming are your friends since you say they're awesome. Sounds like a once in a lifetime oppurtunity, and a hell of a lot of fun to me. I say go for it.

It sounds like Australia would be far better for you.

PS. Read Bill Bryson's book "Down Under" before going. It's a good read and gives a real idea as to what Australia's like.

Right, being the headstrong bastard I am (:P) I decided against Australia because the unis on offer really were dire. Instead I bumped into a friend and am moving in with her/a few other awesomes. So things have worked themselves out really. I'm going to use the Australia money on going there after uni as part od a gap year.

That`s fine, Australia doesn`t really want you anyways...

Glad to hear everything turned out smoothly like that.

Though I imagine Australia would be a good choice in getting yourself a degree in crocodile hunting with the tried-and-true Crocodile Dundee career path. :P

Pfft fine. You do realise I'll be spending a loooong time in Canada visiting some long lost family during my gap year. Mwahaha.
